Eight months after his communist social media postings and conduct caused a conservative media firestorm, 2nd Lieutenant Spenser Rapone (better known as "the commie cadet") is reportedly being processed out of the Army with the most severe type of military administrative discharge -- an "other than honorable discharge."
Rapone, you may recall, is the avowed Marxist and Antifa supporter who posted pictures of himself on social media promoting pro-communist messages and expressing an intention to infiltrate the U.S. military.

Now the DOJ should take him to court demanding repayment of $300K for the education, and pay,he received at West Point!
Geez. You don’t think the “Other than honorable” isn’t punishment enough? Me neither. Should have been Dishonorable and payback. He’ll end up doing just fine and we all know it.
I've wondered from time to time what might have happened if I had said "yes" to any of them.Leavenworth? Discharge?
Probably a General Discharge. It won’t hurt him one bit.
Why is he controversial? He was just mirroring the openly acknowledged views of his boss, the former Kenyan-In-Chief.
Maybe back then. I went out with a gal from Newcomb College in NOLA in ‘68 and found out she belonged to SDS. Dumped he like a hot tater out of worry about being reported. LOL! Guilt by association.
Ten bucks says that the DUmpster Kids are calling for "Days Of Rage" as we speak.
I was thinking along the lines of a gig at MSLSD.He could be their resident "Defense Analyst".
McCain is the son and grandson of admirals. No way he was not going to make it through.
;-)
He and bergdoll should be sent packing to Cuba, Venezuela, Norkland, or one of the stans post haste...
“I thought I just heard he was promoted?”
He was promoted from 2nd Lieutenant to 1st Lieutenant.
That initial promotion for officers is unlike all others - it does not require board selection. It is automatic at around 18 months, unless a bar is actively put in place against that individual - which requires certain legal standards.
I imagine that he was given a bit of a chance to reform/prove himself, in case it was just a stupid joke on his part, in his youth. He was a combat veteran and a ranger as an Enlisted Man, as well as a West Point graduate after all. Now he has proven that he will persist with his BS.
It is appropriate that his discharge is Without Honor.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
And what about the West Point instructor, his guru? What happened to him?
“Probably a General Discharge.”
There are two types of General Discharges - Under Honorable Conditions, and Under Other Than Honorable Conditions. Worse than those is a Bad Conduct Discharge, and worse still is a Dishonorable Discharge.
General Under Other Than Honorable means that he will lose some of his veterans benefits, but not all. It does not count as a criminal record. It is however, a lot easier to administer to someone. A BCD or Dishonorable can only administered by Courts Martial.
Maybe a successor book to Kennedy’s “Profiles in Courage”.
“Profiles in Cowardice” and give the commandant a chapter.
I had that same recollection.
Over time his discharge will be upgraded like John Kerry(who served in Viet Nam). While in Afghanistan why didn’t they just frag him? JFK should have been court martialed but got a medal instead. Macarthers father was a war hero so perhaps they will more likely succeed. Being a POW does not make one a hero. Ask Trump.
There is always the Icy Hot on the shower shoes.
Isn’t the head of West Point an open and out lesbian who openly cohabitates with a fellow beaver muncher?
She needs prison time.
Hard bristle brushes and Comet cleanser, if I recall correctly.
