Portland, Ore., bakery caved to a disgruntled customers allegations of racism and fired two employees after they wouldnt serve a customer because the shop was closed.
Back to Eden Bakery sent multiple apologies and public statements admitting its racist because it refused to serve a black woman who entered the shop after hours and asked to buy a pastry even though the shop had closed.
The incident occurred in early May and is now circulating in the news, garnering a strong public response on Facebook and social media. A woman named only as Lillian entered the bakery at 9:06 p.m. after the shop had already closed, according to the bakeshops Facebook post about the event. Confusion arose because the shop was unusually busy for the late hour and there were still a few customers in line who the shop agreed to serve but whod been informed the shop was officially closed. The lighted Open sign had been turned off.

The black women could not navigate their fat butts to the business on time?
"...racist bakery..."
I would be worried about the bakery serving baked goods with the “Jesse Jackson Secret Sauce”
Only an idiot goes into a place that serves food right as they are closing the doors, it tends to piss off the staff.
If you are closed, lock the door and let the customers who can tell time out one by one.
Oregon is one fruitcake State.
After hours means after hours.
Entitled BLEEPS. But the store screwed up by not locking the doors. Still, this is a complete overreaction to yet another temper tantrum from this victim-mentality mob.
More 82 Ave ObamaBots showing up to attack honest businesses.
I suspect Acorn is using voting records to pick their targets.
I remember back in the restaurant days which ones showed up at closing time, sat at the table for 3+ hours and left no tip...
See. Racist. It’s a well known fact that black people operate on “black people time” and should be accommodated ....
Guess that means no fudge brownies?
Who hasn't been frustrated by fast-food service rules?
Which is why we go to the grocery store and Sams at 7 AM. Still nappy time for the FSAs (Free stuff army).
I assume that the late customer now owns the bakery. If she does not, then the judge is racist and should be impeached and a new trial should be ordered by a non-racist judge who will (of course) transfer ownership of the bakery to the woman who wanted a pastry.
Reminds me when I lived in the leftist sewerhole of New York sh*tty and saw these black women and black guy banging on the window of a Chinese take out place demanding food but it was 11:15 pm and they were closed and cleaning up, and I know they were closed because I lived a block away. So the guy picked up a cobblestone, one of those they used to put around a tree, and threw it through their glass window because obviously racism was involved and these Asian racists must be taught a lesson which these idiots obviously thought because none of them tried to get away and cops easily arrested them. I told the guy right to his face he was a fckin a-shole, racist a*shole. Nobody ever talks about that do they, how racist a lot of blacks are towards Asians like that one black judge from a few years back who sued the Asian dry cleaners something like $50 million for losing his pants and kept suing them until they were out of business.
0re-gone.
Also, I wouldn’t want to work for an idiot employer like that.
>>In a public statement of apology, bakery co-owner and general manager John Blomgren described the event as absolutely egregious and stated the shop had fired the two employees who had informed Lillian they could not serve her because the shop was closed. We are doing business in a gentrified neighborhood in a racist city within a racist state of a racist country, Blomgren wrote in the Facebook post, noting the incident reveals the shop has more work to do to dismantle racism.<<
Good luck staying in business, Blomgren, when your Caucasian customers desert you. Oh, and get ready for the Just-Us Brothas to stop by from some shakedown money...er, “donations.”
Forget it nickedknack. It’s Portland.
