A stolen food truck has been found a couple days after it went missing but it has been completely gutted. The truck was found in Commerce City.
Genevieve Hardin bought the What Would Cheesus Do? truck in February, taking over the food truck serving up gourmet grilled cheese with a theme.
This is my business. This is my life. I have poured everything into this, she said after the truck was stolen.
Since it was found, Hardin says she plans to rebuild and that the set back will only make her stronger.
Hardins family has set up a GoFundMe page to help her rebuild.
After taking her food truck to the streets, she didnt anticipate any issues with the name.
It was just a cute play on words, and you know, our sandwiches kind of play into that as well. You know we make heavenly grilled cheese, she said.
Sunday night around 11:30, someone apparently stole the truck from a warehouse near 53rd Avenue and Bannock Street.
Surveillance video shows someone in a white and brown pickup truck driving away with the trailer in tow.
She says she also fears it may have something to do with the name. Last month, a YouTube video blasted the company for being anti-Christian.
Hardin says she began receiving harassing calls and emails following that post.
Some of the comments spoke about her judgement day while others warned she would spend an eternity in hell.
Police have not released any suspect information about the food truck theft.
“What a friend we have in Cheeses” would have been funnier.
Damn vindictive Christians.
AKA Sheep that bite !!
Well, the name does seem a bit like she is mocking christians. It’s one thing to joke about it, but to put it on the side of your food truck?
I like how the family that thinks it is hilarious to mock Christianity is so delusional that they actually think Christians stole their truck and not a fellow socialist.
I had a friend from Pennsylvania who wanted to open a Cheese shop in Nazareth Pa,He was going to call it “Cheeses of Nazareth”!
Name it Mo’hammad Cheese Please.
Lucky then she didn’t call it Mohamed’s Meals On Wheels, serving savory goat and camel with pita and hummus!
Sweet idea.
Some years ago I lived in Houston on the South county line. Once while I was dove hunting just outside the city limits, I came across a freshly abandoned food truck called a “roach coach” back then.
I called the sheriff’s department who came out in a reasonable amount of time.
The two deputies arrived and walked up to the truck, opened one of the sides where food was stored, and each picked out a wrapped sandwich still on ice, and asked me if I wanted one too as they started eating.
That’s my only memory and encounter with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department and a “roach coach.”
Honestly, I thought it was kind of amusing.

Same reason I am amused by this.
There was a dog grooming shop in (I think) Seattle several years ago that specialized in poodles. The name of the shop was “High Maintenance Bitch” The liberals there didn’t like one.
There was on in NYC back in the 1990’s called Doggy Dos and Pussycats Too my best friend took her dog to. Last time she want there was a woman screaming that she didn’t appreciate having to write Doggy Dos on her checks.
We laughed. And then she moved back South with her dog.
Perhaps he’d feed a hungry moose.
Yep.
I don’t think God is smiling on this one!
I’ll have the Gautama Gouda with a kosher dill, throw an egg Sunni side up on top of it.
No insurance?
