Judge: Bars are allowed to throw out Trump supporters

A Manhattan judge ruled Wednesday that there’s nothing “outrageous” about throwing the president’s supporters out of bars — because the law doesn’t protect against political discrimination.

Philadelphia accountant Greg Piatek, 31, was bounced from a West Village watering hole in January 2017, just after Trump took the oath of office, for wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap, according to his lawsuit over the incident.

“Anyone who supports Trump — or believes in what you believe — is not welcome here! And you need to leave right now because we won’t serve you!” Piatek claims the staff of The Happiest Hour on W. 10th St. told him after he and his pals complained about the rude service they were getting from a bartender.

So he sued in Manhattan Supreme Court claiming the incident “offended his sense of being American.”

So much for the fake opposition to discrimination.

Leftists are the queens of hypocrisy.

Let’s see—That means I can assume that all Blacks and Hispanics are Democrats and I don’t have to rent to them because political discrimination is OK.

Sweet!

Well, I agree. As a proprietor of a business, one should be able to choose to serve or not serve any customer for any reason. Problem is this standard is not applied equally across the spectrum. If this was a Christian baker instead of a bartender, and the patron was a gay couple looking for a weeding cake, instead of a trump supporter wearing a MAGA hat, I wonder what would happen then?

He should have told the bar that he was gay, then he would have had a suit worth a few million.

And it also means that bakeries can throw out LGBTwhatever when they scream and demand a “wedding cake”.

I hear the judge's message loud and clear: Rules for thee but not for me.

This needs to be appealed. It sets a very dangerous precedent. Just wait until it is used against Liberals.
The judge is most likely a Hillary voter.
The plaintiff would need some kind of legal organization to assist him with advice and costs. The average person doesn’t have the money to keep litigating such a case.

Correct ruling, needs to be applied equally.

I’m wondering why a Trump supporter would darken the door of a West Village bar in Manhattan in the first place.

Great, then the judge would be okay with bars throwing out Obama supporters?

This is the whole problem with civil rights laws - now that they’ve included women, homosexuals and working in transgenders - everybody BUT white males gets carte Blanche access to everything - and only white males can be discriminated against as seen here.

Revoke the civil rights laws or restrict them to race status only as originally intended.

As it is now - there are no equal rights in this country.

How far should we take this? What if Wallmart and all the big retailers wanted to ban Trump supporters from their stores? I can always choose another local bar, but I can’t invent another Wallmart.

Next time you’re arguing with a liberal about the anger and nastiness of the left, ask them to put a Trump bumper sticker on their car for a month.

I’m sure the judge would find that as violating the rights of minorities because the bartender obviously didn’t like black people.

“If it be admitted that a man possessing absolute power may misuse that power by wronging his adversaries, why should not a majority be liable to the same reproach? Men do not change their characters by uniting with one another; nor does their patience in the presence
of obstacles increase with their strength. For my own part, I cannot believe it; the power to do everything which I should refuse to one of my equals, I will never grant to any number of them.”

But you have a “Constitutional right” to be a jackass at a Starbucks as long as you have the correct skin pigmentation.
