Well, I agree. As a proprietor of a business, one should be able to choose to serve or not serve any customer for any reason. Problem is this standard is not applied equally across the spectrum. If this was a Christian baker instead of a bartender, and the patron was a gay couple looking for a weeding cake, instead of a trump supporter wearing a MAGA hat, I wonder what would happen then?

They would lose. Political affiliation is not a protected class under anti-discrimination laws. Sexual orientation is.
Exactly. The law allows a baker that did not wish to serve a particular clientele—to effect the proprietor losing his business.
But discriminating against a baseball hat is all fine.
