A Manhattan judge ruled Wednesday that theres nothing outrageous about throwing the presidents supporters out of bars because the law doesnt protect against political discrimination.
Philadelphia accountant Greg Piatek, 31, was bounced from a West Village watering hole in January 2017, just after Trump took the oath of office, for wearing a Make America Great Again cap, according to his lawsuit over the incident.
Anyone who supports Trump or believes in what you believe is not welcome here! And you need to leave right now because we wont serve you! Piatek claims the staff of The Happiest Hour on W. 10th St. told him after he and his pals complained about the rude service they were getting from a bartender.
So he sued in Manhattan Supreme Court claiming the incident offended his sense of being American.

This is not a story about a court ruling. The story is the story. In the irony that the ruling would NOT be in the headlines were it not so damn reasonable as to be boring to Justice.
But a bakery can be sued for not wanting to make a cake for a gay wedding? What was the judge’s name?
Justice David Cohen thinks he can make law by mandate. Not so.
Sorry for the confusion. I didn’t realize you were a lawyer.

What happened to the “public accommodation” laws?
I guess they only apply to conservatives when leftists demand service.

That would also put the Happiest Hours Bar out of business..... a good retributive thing.
Seeing black folks vote 95% democratic, I say it’s political speech, no???
There should be no “we” in the decision. Business owners should be able to decide to whom they do business with and under what conditions. The market will equalize to produce the most profits to those that make the largest portion of the population the happiest. I personally use businesses more that discriminate against smokers, though I cannot stand government regulates this decision away from the owners. If I owned bar, and a mixed race clientel provided most of my revenue, hopefully if a thug with Nazi tatoos all over her body came in, I could say she is not welcome and ask her to exit.
You be jes so right!
Don’t try it with rainbow-sash sashayers!
All political opinions are “equal”.... /s
Exactly. The law allows a baker that did not wish to serve a particular clientele—to effect the proprietor losing his business.
But discriminating against a baseball hat is all fine.
American Justice!
Just wait until it is used against Liberals.”
It won’t.
