Pope Mourns Deaths Of ‘The Defenseless’ After Israeli Forces Kill Hamas Terrorists
Freedom Outpost ^ | April 3, 2018 | Pamela Geller

Pope Francis is among those who did not learn history and so is destined to repeat it. That, or he is just another in a long line of papal antisemites. I think it’s the latter.

Hitler’s Pope, Pope Pius XII, before and during the Nazi era, assisted in the legitimization of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi regime in Germany, through the pursuit of a Reichskonkordat (“Concordat between the Holy See and the German Reich”) in 1933.

How is this any different?

Not only did the Vatican help to norm and mainstream Hitler in the early 30’s, their work with Nazis carried on even after the war.

The Vatican assisted Nazi war criminals in escaping after World War II.

MYOB Francis. You’re an embarrassment to Catholics worldwide

You are the anti-pope

My dad had a newspaper clipping of the pope blessing Hitler.

Hitler never met any Pope, to the best of my knowledge.

this pope has stepped in it, so to speak, many times already...it appears to me that his theology is way way off kilter... that’s he’s more a communist than a Catholic, and that Canon Law may not, alas, adequately address the issue of his possible removal...? Any lower-ranked church official, yes...but the procedures for removal of a pope are, I think, incomplete). In effect, he’s created a major schism in the church... perhaps a formal official schism is coming soon, probably?

Then I guess he is all in favor of the second amendment since we can choose to be well-armed in response.

I’m not sure whose comments I dread reading more these days, David Hogg’s or the Pope’s.

That is a great observation and rather sad. I find both mentally ill if mental illness were to be defined by one's words alone.

This Pope, by siding with the enemies of Israel will stir the Wrath of God upon his soul.

Has he apologized for the Inquisition yet?

Has he ordered an accounting of the bribe money paid by Nazis in exchange for being smuggled out of Europe at the end of WWII?

No?

Hey, Francis! You’re from Argentina, right?

How come there isn’t a problem finding antique stores filled with German war paraphernalia in Buenos Aires?

Oh boy, I didn’t know that about the Pope back then. Very disturbing.

But at least this Pope knows more about the nature of hell than even Jesus Himself!

I was a kid, he showed me the picture and told me what it was. It may have been a picture of someone else for all I know. My dad wasn’t fond of the Catholic Church, I don’t know why.

I agree with Pamela Geller on most issues. I believe this one is completely bogus.

Doesn’t this Pope support illegals coming to our country? And falls for every communist BS line?

how about his conquistadors in the subjugation of south, central and a part of north America? The church was brutal and killed millions.

Untrue, slanderous horsehockey disproven and discredited decades ago

You are of course correct. It was always well known to Kremlin-watchers that the out-of-nowhere slander against Pius XII and the Catholic Church as "collaborators" with the Nazis was a postwar propaganda project of the KGB to silence the Church's fight against Russia's takeover and enslavement of Eastern Europe.

Beginning in the 1920s, National Socialism itself was publicly denounced by the Vatican. The Catholic Church also formed the main resistance to Hitler's takeover of Germany, Austria, Holland, etc., and was a serious problem for him when voices in the West--including most in the American Jewish intelligentsia--were silent. This went on while the Catholic Church was hiding hundreds of thousands of European Jews in monasteries and convents and providing them false documents for escape to countries beyond the Nazis' reach.

The thousands of Catholic priests, sisters, and lay activists murdered in Auschwitz and the other camps are a testament to the depth and scale of the obstacle the Church posed for Hitler.

Fr. George Rutler's gripping book on the Church vs. the Nazis, Principalities and Powers, drawn from contemporaneous letters and news stories, is a cleansing, clarifying dose of reality.
