Self-defense is regarded as a right deriving from natural law. But that offers no justification to the parents of Michael Grace, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, who was shot to death while attempting to rob a Pizza Hut. CBS North Carolina reports:
Its been a difficult week for parents Temia Hairston and Michael Grace Sr. Their son, Michael Grace Jr., was shot and killed during an attempted robbery early Sunday morning.
I sympathize. It is a terrible thing to lose a child. That is a wound that will not heal.
Police said Grace Jr. and two other people tried to rob a Pizza Hut in the 3200 block of Freedom Drive. During the incident, an employee fired his own handgun and killed Grace Jr.
Hairston said she learned of her sons death on social media, and only got confirmation from police after contacting them first. The grieving mother said she has been left with dozens of questions about the situation that have thus far gone unanswered.

Another dead criminal thug for #BLM to rally around.
Too bad his accomplices werent taken care of in the same manner.
So he robbed the place he used to work? That's highly intelligent.
Was he ordering a pop-pop-pop-peroni pizza?
Jonesing for his next crack fix?
I worked for the Cal youth authority. When I started there was a story about one of our parolees. He got a job stocking shelfs and the refrigerator in a mini-market in a black neighborhood when he paroled. He was 6’11” and white a star on the institution team which played against freshmen college teams from around soCal. But he was too dumb to get into college (yes even in soCal).
One day he leaves work and comes back an hour later to rob the store. He wore a ski mask. His white hands and neck showed and of course he didn’t have an ebonics accent. And he was still 6’11” The owner asks Larry (I can’t remember real name) is that you, and he runs out of the store. Owner calls police. He played at CIM on the team for the next 5 years.
Girlfriend was pregnant. Baby was born by now, don’t know if it was a boy.........
Also has a 4 year old daughter, probably by a different woman.
Well, the stickup artist wanted delivery, so they gave it to him.
p>You’re right.. It’s been over fifty years since I awoke one night to find an intruder in my bedroom. Fortunately I kept a gun hidden at my bedside. I never got a clear shot at him, but scared him off. To this day I keep a gun at my bedside, and am prepared to use it. I doubt I will ever get over the incident.
Remembering that robbery and execution of store employees in Denver(?) who were shot execution style after giving up the money. The killer is on death row and the governor (D) keeps delaying his execution - been there a long time.
“How else ma baby get money for clothes fo skool?!”
That story sounds very familiar, similar to one I heard while working at Folsom.

Is it just me, or do most of the “parents” in these situations all have different last names? Even the two Black couples at the SOTU speech who lost their daughters to MS13 gang members, didn’t have the same last name.

Maybe he had been murdering before and was tapering off.
Shopped, but funny.
LOL probably every department has the same story.
I can verify the 6’11” white guy. When i was a freshman at Cal poly Pomona I kept the stats for the basketball team. One day the freshman coach asked me to go with his team to chino. Turns out it was youth training school where i eventually wound up working in 1970.
They had the 6’11” white guy and two black guards faster than anyone on our team. The stands were full of CYA wards yelling what they would do to us if we won. It wasn’t even close. We were intimidated and outclassed on the court. None of their guys could get into Cal poly, the coach asked about it, but the two guards went to community college at East La.
Speak in medical terms and specify whichi particular organs/structures were damaged.y
That’s why they don’t want us to shoot them.
It takes money out of the legal system !
They’ll all be out of work
