CROZET, Va. (AP) — In a story Jan. 31 about a fatal train crash carrying dozens of Republican members of Congress, The Associated Press, relying on information from a congressman at the scene, misidentified who was killed in the pickup truck. It was a passenger who died, not the driver.

I want to know if the person in the truck was dead before the train hit it.
In less than 24 hours we’re already hearing excuses, like the barrier arms were known to malfunction, the locals were used to the slower coal trains that they can “beat”, etc. Yet I thought all traffic was supposed to be stopped as the special Congressional charter was going through. So many excuses so quickly, nothing to see here.

Besides my question in post #26, my next question was going to be did the dump truck have one of those chips in it.
I imagine there is some air surveillance footage somewhere. I doubt all these critters were traveling unescorted.
Fox news was reporting dump truck while describing a scene that clearly included a garbage truck. Who you going to believe? The AP style book or your own eyes.
I still have strong suspicions that there was no accident but rather a purposeful attempt to derail the train

Q clarified that a drone was watching the train from above.
The white hats suspected something was up and warned the engineer.
I don’t think the impact was 70 mph as reported. It that was so, those passenger cars would been off the track accordion style.
The kind that comes by my house once a week. As the driver rolls it through the neighborhood, two guys dismount and grab the garbage cans off the curb and dump them in the back of the truck. When they're done, they all climb in the cab and drive to the next subdivision.
