It's not going to be easy for any military members overseas to watch the NFL playoffs on TV on Sunday. One alternative: watching the AFC Championship Game between the Patriots and Jaguars right here on CBSSports.com. Due to the government shutdown, the Pentagon has announced that the American Forces Network (AFN) won't be active until things are back up and running again in Washington DC. The AFN is the easiest way for soldiers to stay on top of American entertainment when they're deployed outside the country, but it's funded by the government, which is why it's down right now.
AFN regularly shows NFL playoff games; however, with the network currently offline, Eagles, Vikings, Patriots and Jaguars fans deployed overseas won't be able to watch the the AFC Championship or NFC Championship on the network on Sunday, and that's likely not going to change unless the shutdown somehow ends over the next 24 hours.

Dear esteemed members of the military: The Democrat Party, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of the socialists, do not support you. They support illegal immigrants over you. Let your families and friends know. There are more elections coming up and more swamp draining is much needed.
They shouldn’t be watching that crap anyway. NFL is disrespectful to them.
I’m not technical but would there be a way to stream the games on-line for the troops?

My husband and I are planning a trip to eat at a restaurant/ sports bar that refuses to show NFL programming until they stop protesting against us.
But free internet access and Obama phones for illegals........
I Quit watching when the Donkeys (broncos) took a knee. Have not watched a game since. If they fired all kneelers I may watch in 5 years or so.
Our servicemen deserve better entertainment than the NFL.

Here’s how to stop the government shutdown. Round up all of the DACA “kids” and deport them all. Problem goes away if there are none to give amnesty to.
I know really, that was my thought as well. Any that want to watch will surely be able to through other channels.
