ACRAMENTO — With the reading of their own version of a Declaration of Independence, founders of the state of New California took the first steps to what they hope will eventually lead to statehood. CBS Sacramento reports they don't want to leave the United States, just California.

Who can blame them? Certainly not me, for I applaud them, and Republicans should support their effort.
Old California might swing our way, but New California is solid democrat. (Blue is democrat).
Might means old and new California will cancel each other out. But might not means an extra set of democrats in the senate. Not worth the risk.
Make the whole state a territory and let Trunp appoint a governor.

I am unaware that the state government of Virginia consented to its western counties breaking away to form the new state of West Virginia.
Oh hell no; San Diego and Orange counties have booth turned into lib “SH!THOLES” over the last 10 years, there are still a few conservative areas in them, but not many.
And I am sorry to say this but the entire central valley has been taken over by beaners and wetbacks, they are a lost cause to the future.
That line should be at the southern boarder of El Dorado county.

It takes a lot more than just declaring your independence.
There are these things called laws and they are contained in the state and federal constitutions.
The Constitution says only Congress has the power to change the boundaries of existing states.
After a skim read it looks like a good idea. I bet the rural folks in Cali are ready to self govern.
Some guy just posted this on twitter- its hysterical but true:
“New California - There has been a lot of talk that we may see a Civil War II. I hope it does not happen. Then again, a war like that can’t possibly last long. One side believes in the 2nd Amendment. The other side has no idea what gender they are.”
