January 13, 2018 Trump's s-hole comment long overdue...but not enough By Geoffrey P. Hunt Of course, President Donald Trump is right about Haiti, El Salvador, and many African countries being s-holes. Only a fool, a lifelong shut-in, or an ideologue would deny it. Trump needs to affirm what he said, and expand his remarks, without revision. No apologies for truth-telling this time. Whether intentional or serendipitously, the president has finally uttered the most monumental truth of the modern era. The globe has an abundance of hellholes, euphemistically labeled "third-world," containing unimaginable wretchedness, largely of those countries' occupants' own makings. Or, to put it otherwise, the local populations have had the means and wherewithal to fix their abject plights but were lacking in willpower or rational acuity. Most have inherited formidable opportunities but squandered them all in their infatuation with corrupt elite leaders. The list of countries inheriting bountiful resources, both natural, and human capital along with effective governance models is led by Venezuela and Zimbabwe. Frittering it away is a post-colonial art form, actually a pernicious disease infecting most of sub-Sahara Africa and Central and South America. Nations finally freed from "colonial European white oppression" despite being given all the tools to develop economic independence; political stability; sustainable resource development; enlightened parliamentary democratic governance; and efficient and useful bureaucracies to perpetuate safe, secure, industrious, self-sufficient lifestyles with access to clean water, hospitals, and education, not to mention a literate and educated electorate couldn't find failure fast enough. Poverty, genocide, disease, foul water, illiteracy ravages from Marxist collectivist tyranny or just brutal, corrupt dictatorships are the norm. Yes, they are s-holes, not just a figure of speech. ....

Such a shame that President Trump never said it.
Seems like everybody wishes he had.
Perhaps Pres. Trump would be best served by stating the truth, even if the truth is “I never stated in the meeting I had with Mr. Durburn, that these countries were “shit holes”; but perhaps I should have.”
“Having visited these places, in person, before I was sworn into office, I can attest that these places are indeed “shit holes”, they were shit holes long before I was born, they are shit holes today, and likely will be shit holes long after my generation passes on”.
I know I do, I have asked that same question millions of times.
The answer is because the leftist, D and R jersey, want to steal the country from the citizens by flooding it with foreigners, legal and illegal.
It began with the 1965 Immigration Act and continued through the 1986 Amnesty and 4 Presidents after that who refused to enforce the laws.
My problem is when they say Ess Hole it sounds more like Ass Hole, which is an entirely different thing. Well, not entirely but still not the word in question. It would be better if they said Spit Hole or something like that.

Exactly. It is sad that the complacent and ignorant electorate just let the “America busters” get away with it all for so long. At least it is all out in the open now and the RATS and RINOS cannot hide their agenda any longer.
If Haiti, Africa, and some of these other “exotic” locations are so great,
why doesn’t Wheel-of-Fortune ever give away trips there?
As a part time Geography teacher, I am now going to have to rewrite all my lesson plans. On the bright side, it will only take 10 minutes to describe the globe to the students
We have many crap-holes here in the USA and guess what they all have in common?
The inhabitants can all trace their lineage back to other $h!tholes in the world.
Did Trump say sh**hole or did he not?
re: “Any place that does not have a flushing toilet by definition is a shit hole. Just stating the obvious.”
That would contain 75% of 1972 Thailand. The 25% would be split between Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
When you are told that this is the "toilet," you KNOW you are in a sh*tholey place.
Last paragraph of article:
And while we are waiting...and waiting interminably...for multicultural deliverance to make hellholes habitable, Donald Trump is right to ask: why should we soil, foul, and frustrate our own struggles in Making America Great Again with the open invitation for failed states to plant their failed cultures and wretchedness here?
That says it all!
that was 45 years ago.
Been there.
Seen that.
