Newz Sentinal ^ | 1-13-2017 | Daisy Luther

Citing a strain on “overwhelmed” health resources, Governor Kay Ivey declared an official State of Emergency in Alabama on Thursday due to the rapidly spreading flu epidemic.

WHEREAS the State Health Officer has reported that an outbreak of the influenza virus has occurred in the State of Alabama; and

WHEREAS this outbreak poses a high probability of widespread exposure to an infectious agent that poses significant risk of substantial harm to a large number of people in the affected population; and

WHEREAS the health care facilities and personnel of the State are overwhelmed by the number of ill patients and taxed to such an extent that care of patients may now no longer be provided in the traditional, normal, and customary manner nor is the utilization of traditional, normal, and customary standards of care possible.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Kay Ivey, Governor of the State of Alabama, pursuant to relevant provisions of the Alabama Emergency Management Act of 1955, section 31-9-1 et seq., Code of Alabama (1975), on the recommendation of the State Health Officer, do hereby declare that a State Public Health Emergency exists in the State of Alabama. I direct the appropriate state agencies to exercise their statutory and regulatory authority to assist the communities and entities affected. I also direct the Alabama Department of Public Health and Alabama Emergency Management Agency to seek federal assistance as may be available.

Per the CDC, seasonal flu activity is now widespread in 49 states. Have any of the others asked Fedzilla for a handout? Just curious.

The state of emergency was when the folks of Alabama were about to vote for a Leftist rather than a good Conservative man for the U. S. Senate.

Too late now.

Well, I got my flu and pneumonia vaccines in November, but my more effective preventive is just to stay home. I realize most people can’t do that, but I’m sure glad I can.

Wife and I got our flu shots in November
We came down with the flu this past week. It’s been reported they’re running out of Tamiflu. And it is expensive! I’m sure lots of people don’t have the money to pay for it

That’s what I plan to do. Stay home. Order food delivered. Avoid people. They’re the problem!

If I must go out, I will wear a mask.

The nurse practitioner in our family was saying this year the strains predicted and planned for in the vaccine, did not meet the strains they are seeing on the street. It was termed about 10% effective. Not sure how accurate that is, but it does seem cases are elevated this year.

I traveled to Pennsylvania from Florida, for Thanksgiving and deer season. That Sunday, started feeling like I was trying to catch a cold. Got up, Monday morning and headed to my deer hunting location. Lasted there for about an hour. Went and head breakfast and headed to another Amish farm. Well, about 12:30, all hell broke loose. I got the chills, body started aching, hip joints were on fire. I decided to call it quits. It’ a 3 mile hike to my truck. I didn’t think was going to able to make it. I did have a cell signal and was going to call “911”. I have never felt so bad. I made it to my truck, didn’t have enough strength to remove my hunting clothes. It took me a month to get over the mess. I guess this is part of getting old, nearing 73. I now have the utmost respect for the flu.

Rarely get the flu...... when I do it’s normally very manageable with OTC meds......
My wife and I became sick New Year’s Eve ........ we were bedridden for 7 days......neither of use can ever recall being this sick.....
This flu is extremely virulent.....
Still slowly recovering..... nasty virus this year

1. Nutrify your body.

2. Oxygenate your body.

3. Raise your pH > 7.4

4. Add 300 mcg selenium daily

5. Add foods and herbs and teas that kill viruses

6. Take plant-based Vitamin C of high % of bio availability (not the sh!thole vitamins in a drug store)

You will never have to worry about influenza again.

I feel lucky. Missed getting flu shots this year. But I’m a bit misanthropic by nature, so I’ve managed to avoid catching it so far. Central Texas “Cedar Fever” (tree pollen allergies) have it me like the always do at this time of year.
