There will be many explanations for Democrat Doug Joness victory over Republican Roy Moore in Alabamas special election Tuesday.......
.....But there is another factor: Doug Jones simply worked very hard.
According to his own campaign, Jones held well over 200 campaign events over two months an average of more than three per day.......
Yet there will be questions about the way Moore decided to spend his time doing things other than campaigning for example, leaving the state to catch the Army-Navy game...........

Whatever. You people can have it now. No Christian candidate will ever win in America again. The Demonrat/Republican Uniparty knows how to destroy them. I guess you're as happy as you can be.
If I was Bannon I would have canceled my appearance at that last rally after Moore skipped town for the Army-Navy game. Moore ran a campaign like I would expect to see from someone who has been a judge for most of his life.
I did go back and read your post and while I agree with many of your points, I still believe it is the candidates responsibility to shape his campaign to deal with situations that arise. He did not adequately deal with the accusations of misconduct, he did not reconcile with his primary opponents, and he did not motivate the large republican majority to turn out for him. Voters must have a reason to vote for someone and he did not give them one. My point being that no one is entitled to an office, they have to win it. Judge Moore didn’t.
Following that logic we are doomed. It's hard to be positive when all roads lead to conservative destruction.
He lost by 21,000 votes.
Despite the odds, he did that well. Don’t tell me he was a terrible candidate. He was outspent 14 to 1 and still came with 1.5% of winning.
There were more write-in votes than the number he lost by. The Republican Leadership urged folks to write in. Shelby made robocalls that urged Republicans not to vote for Moore.
Moore turned out to be an excellent candidate, if he could come as close to winning as he did.
Folks looking to trash Moore should do it somewhere else.
Yeah, turning him into a pervert with Democrat shrews for thirty days had nothing to do with it. This is a Jones rehab article to change the narrative.
One of Moore’s campaign promises was that he’d refuse to vote for Mitch McConnell as Senate majority leader. No wonder he got almost no GOP support in this race. That kind of thinking makes me wonder if the guy even had a basic understanding of how a legislative process works.
It’s easy to “work for the win” when you’ve got a 14-1 funding advantage.
Much less the stupid things to say, if you actually want to win.
point taken
with all the black celebrities sent in, they probably got every black vote. The Dems also got most of the new voters and I suspect they were blacks influenced by Charles Barkley and others like him.
...and we have the means to determine that was the case 100%?
Thank you for that perspective. I’ve had a couple of days to cool down. I’m still really mad at what the Republicans did to their own candidate in Alabama. But I will press on and put my energies and fight where it will do the most good, aiding specific conservative candidates but not the RNC.
