President Donald Trump will announce Wednesday that the United States recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and that the State Department will begin a process to move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
Trump will first announce that the “United States government recognizes that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel,” according to one of three senior administration officials who spoke with reporters on Tuesday.
The officials conveyed that the change is a recognition of “reality” — both the historic reality that Jerusalem has been the capital of the Jewish people and the Jewish faith since ancient times; and the modern reality that the city is the seat of government for Israel, housing its legislature, supreme court, prime minister, and executive agencies.
Second, Trump will direct the State Department to begin the process of moving the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. One official explained that the directive to the State Department requires it to develop a plan for this “with a minimum additional burden on taxpayers.” It was noted that there are approximately 1,000 personnel in Tel Aviv, and that it would take some time to find an appropriate site in Jerusalem. One official stated that despite hopes for an immediate move, it was a “practical impossibility to move the embassy tomorrow.”

“Why does an embassy require 1000 people?”
That’s not so unusual these days - at least in countries where there are a lot of U.S. citizens, security issues, strong business connections, etc. So many Israelis are also U.S. citizens that it doesn’t surprise me one bit.

It will take some time—maybe two or three years. Congress will need to be involved for funding. There will be challenging work on design, security and many other things before building actually starts. Remember that Jerusalem is pretty much built up (security).
The Eagle (America) has taken flight, and he Soars high into the sun, and when he lands, he will reveal the Olive Branch of Peace of Earth taken from the Mount of Olives! Long live Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel, both ancient and present day!
This is the single greatest accomplishment that President Trump will ever achieve.
It should never have been an issue, but the world’s desire to appease the oil producers, made it controversial.
No president has ever had the courage, the conviction, or the commitment to recognize the obvious: Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish people.
But THIS President did.

And may our President continue to give credit where it is most due! Remember from the story of Nebuchadnezzar, that the walk becomes more perilous with pride but more wonderful with humility.

I was afraid he was going wobbly on this, like Obama did when he planned to okay the pipeline, then backed down to further ‘study’ the notion under pressure from enviros.
But Trump studied it for a day and then said, “It makes more sense to keep your word than be afraid of pissing off people who hate you.”

It is good to recognize and acknowledge reality.
However Israel has a large Muslim population and Muslims as part of their religion tell a lot of lies to others and themselves.
And they really pissed off when someone reveals the truth behind their lies.
I hope Trump learned from Hillary’s mistake and packs on some extra security around this move because there are going to be some really pissed off Muslim liars in Israel.
Looks like the concern trolls of a few months ago really jumped the shark when they bitched that he wouldn’t go there....time for everything and Trump is a master of timing...
Next step President Trump—move the capitol out of the DC swamp and make a clean sweep of the demonic infestation that has become our government!
