Can the descent of American political culture into ugly tribalism be halted? Alabama voters will give their answer when they decide whether to send Roy Moore to the U.S. Senate.
Moore, 70, has built a long, disgraceful career out of smarmy religiosity spiked with tribal grievance. Having posed for years as the most pious of Christians, he now stands accused by nine women of un-Christian behavior: They claim convincingly that Moore, when he was in his 30s, aggressively pursued romantic or sexual relationships, including with teens barely half his age.
Successful demagogues can use tribal enmities to blind their followers to such moral and logical contradictions.
Moore uses his angry Christianity as a tool of self-aggrandizement. He uses the trust and passion of the Alabamians he defrauds to sully the reputations of women who bravely testify to his allegedly vile and creepy behavior.
Alabama’s three major newspapers ran rare front-page editorials Sunday imploring voters not to send this unworthy man to Washington. It is a sad sign of the times that I am not sure whether that hurt Moore’s prospects or helped them. The “mainstream media” is an enemy whose disapproval Moore cultivates to make his supporters love him more.
Moore is not invincible. He can be defeated — but only if Alabamians decide that honor, integrity and morality are more important than tribe.

Oh Pleaaaase! All of a sudden the argument from immoral (late term abortion, same sex marriage, underage sexual orientation treatment) liberals is about a man who asked younger women out on dates???? Except for one dubious questionable 14 year old. All these young women were of legal age. This reeks of political character destruction!

Including the one claiming when 14* years old. For her accusations are the juiciest. All of which Moore denied. Because they hinted at and Moore was actually accused by a group of being a “Pedafile” .

A result after the above being gleefully reported and dwelled on by CNN and the media alphabet soup as well as never Trumpers in a touchy feel-ly manner. As if it came off of a never given or made police report which requires a sworn complaint.
All the accusations against Moore originate and are quoted from media sources which support positions like : Abortion, gender sex reclassification, gay marriage, and nullification of religious influence on culture. All of which are solidlly opposed by candidate Roy Moore.
Despite that fact and that it has been uncovered that his accusers are working for the Perversion Party and that their accusations are false and politically motivated. The drivebys and the nevers media are not reporting this. but are mentioning one accuser is a “Republican” then when examined turns out to be questionable.
Worse yet even though these accusations have been solidly refuted. The general public relying on certain venues including talk show hosts are not being told what’s been uncovered. .
Bill Cunningham on his Sunday 9 to 12 pm show 11/19 who consistently goes off half cocked never brings up the forged yearbook or the backgrounds on Moore’s accusers but announces he thinks Moore was attracted to teens of consenting age and didn’t do anything illegal.
Ben ? Shapiro substituting for Mark Levine on 11/22 proclaimed he wouldn’t vote for either if he was voting on the Alabama race even though he admitted he knew about the forgery but dismissed it. .

His legal secretary at the time he was a Circuit Court Judge declared it a forgery because her initials; DA, appeared with his signature in that year book. No Eugene the Constitution is more important in AL.
That is in their tribal moral code. One of many things like power over morals. Hypocrisy, no loyalty to friends out of tribe. Lie often to win. Liberals moral code is much like muslims. It’s self serving, just like Islam is practiced.
