Actress Rose McGowan, one of the most vocal figures condemning disgraced Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein over alleged sexual harassment, has turned her ire toward Amazon founder and Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos. That came a bit later, the were just getting their act together in the late 60s. I ran into ‘em in the early 70s, nice people, but weird beliefs once you knew them a bit. Not a Californian (thankfully) :) but I’m reasonably knowledgeable on most cults.

Bryan Singer directed a boy in Apt Pupil and that kid led a short, messed-up life. Homosexual Joel Schumacher directed Corey Haim—making his character in The Lost Boys an obvious gay—and we all know the life Haim lived. I can’t think of any child actors in any of Emmerich’s films (some in The Patriot, but I doubt it was safe to try anything with Mel around). Obviously, there’s no way to know if anything improper happened between these men and boys. Just food for thought.
Oh, there was some incredibly sick bastard who directed a film called Jeepers Creepers. He was in prison for what he did with one of the boys.

I just found out that pig director of Jeepers Creepers was sentenced to a mere three years and served 15 months. He filmed himself raping a 12-year-old boy! And, it turns out this was before he made Powder, Jeepers Creepers, and his other Hollywood films. After his crimes were known, he made a movie starring Eric Roberts and Lance Henricksen. I’m disgusted by and immensely disappointed with Henricksen.

Yeah, Smith was pretty much mainstream evangelical, as are the Calvary bunch - he was just in the right place and time when the “Jesus Movement” happened, late 60s-early 70s.

To think that McGowan and other kids had to grow up in such depravity masked as religion. I believe River Pheonix grew up with COG parents, also. Don’t really know much else about him, I don’t keep up with recent celebs, esp. dead ones that much. I’m more of a classics aficionado - Bogie, Audrey Hepburn (Kate Hepburn, too), etc and so on.

We’re talking about what Weinstein did here, i.e. perversion and rape of those who felt were his inferiors. There’s just not enough polish in the world to cover that up.

You have something they want specifically and wil use their physical charms to get it

I just saw “American Made” with a neighbor today. They must have run 10-15 trailers. On and on and on and on and on.
You should have seen the trailer for an upcoming Owen Wilson film and what they showed (acted/said) in that trailer. They truly have no shame at all. Not that we are surprised.
