SACRAMENTO (CBS SF) California Gov. Jerry Brown warns that catastrophic wildfires will keep ripping through the state as the climate warms.
**SNIP**
He said a warming climate has contributed to catastrophic wildfires. Thats the way it is with a warming climate, dry weather and reducing moisture. said Brown. These kind of catastrophes have happened and theyll continue to happen, and we have to be prepared to do everything we can to mitigate.
The governor has positioned himself as a leader in the fight against climate change.

Ahhh, that Moonbeam, don’cha just love it when he goes off his meds.....what a hoot.
He has a book coming out: How To Ruin A State in 10 Easy Steps.
Warming caused by..? Don't know but the fire started from downed PG&E power lines so I guess that is man-made. Obviously ban electricity in CA.
The Brown plague is what causes wildfires.
California is brown, or at least tan and that tan stuff burns
Dr. Bill Watenburg
Or Brown’s lackeys start fires so he can say it’s global warming?
The power of scientism on weak minds, emotional minds devoid of education in real science, is absolute and they will fight to the death to support their wrong and invalid position.
How brave of him. Pick an enemy you can't see..............
In the state of Texas, we have been known to make a trash dump. Once filled with trash of all types, we set fire to it allowing it to flame for days until all is reduced to ash. Might California’s TPTB be doing the same? Lord know’s they’ve more than enough trash to burn.
WARNING - there are negatives to this result. Good people are destroyed with the not-so-good. They are all together in this world; like it or not.
... And matches. Don’t forget about the matches.
Climate change and also dry grass and trees that have grown really well after a very wet winter, also caused by climate change, and following a drought of several years, also caused by climate change. And the 1500 houses/homes were made out of wood which burns real good.
One thing that houses and trees and grass have in common is they are mostly cellulose, which is basically glucose. Glucose has energy, lots of it, and we burn glucose in our bodies to live. So fires are not unusual.
he’s very proud he signed bill to outlaw cow farts. Seriously
Actually most people agree there is some climate change BUT the stickler is most politicians like Brown et al conflate that to it is being man caused. The climate has been changing for thousands of years, sometimes warmer, sometimes cooler. These scum bags are just looking for another way to both weaken the country and promote some additional taxes.
California desperately needs a 25th Amendment.
“Liberal flatulence contributes to Wild fires... “
Brown...name theory...skidmarks on underwear. Do piss off Jerry.
It's a tinderbox because the government prevents people from clearing brush and cutting trees around their homes. They should require tile roofs and cedar shakes should be banned.
People need to wake up and quit talking about stuff they cant control...
And start talking about things they can control...like stupid public policy.
...like global warming.
Which is a total hoax, especially since it hasn't happened.
Their chronic hysterical moonbattery is totally based on fraudulent computer models from 25 years ago, which were fueled with inaccurately derived data. The 25 year-old models have failed to accurately portray reality, which is no discernible change in the climate, beyond natural variance.
You have four factors:
1. In this region, it typically doesn’t rain much from March to October, with the bulk of the 26 inches a year in the winter months.
2. There’s a high pressure system on the eastern side of the state...blowing air over the mountain in a westward fashion. When it arrives in the Napa Valley area....it bring warmer winds, thus drying out things.
3. Intense house building over the past thirty years in the valley. Anyone who had real money and worked in San Francisco....wanted a house in this region.
4. Then we come to forest management. People want to see real growth and they think that’s the beauty of forests. Well, if you consider the dry conditions for seven months out of the year....it’d make more sense to trim everything back. National Forest Service won’t do that because it frustrates people who complain about the ‘look’.
I would agree on the controlled burns but if you bring this up with folks, they get all hyper that you are causing beauty to disappear.
I knew Moonbeam or some other nut would come out with this.
