Sure does. Only 27% said they should be removed.
Russia...fail
Statues...fail
What’s next, Dems?
No one cares what the voters think! What does George Soros want? [/s]
The period in American history known as reconstruction when blacks were given the vote (then restricted) gets the revisionist treatment or ignored because it doesnt fit into the socialists agenda which calls for division. The reason those monuments in question are placed, honoring men who fought for their cause when after defeat did not continue on. But rather chose to accept and support the result to unuify the country
and a few Democrats want to replace them with Rapper Monuments
the 19% that are “unsure” are just scared to say “keep them up”.
I guess that means the majority of Americans are Nazis...very sad.
The reason for trying to erase the past is to get people mired in a miserable present while hiding from them the fact that their predecessors had better. Those who would keep people caught in a miserable present then make false promises of a better future in order to keep the people complacent and docile.
Of course we should keep the statues and monuments.
However, I am all for removing the party of slavery and racism and not allowing any member of that party to hold elected office ever again. In fact, I would fully support removing every member of that party from office now, for the good of the country. Not that that would happen.
Keep it up Dems. Bannon is right - we will beat you to death with your identity politics in 2018.
If a majority didn’t I would be very sad, disappointed and probably inconsolable
And 70% of the American people didn’t want Obamacare. We don’t live in a democracy.
In a week of frenzied activity and mass denouncements, they will all be gone save those in national parks and military grounds.
City and state governments folded like a cheap suit, lest they, too, be called names.
Does anyone remember when Liberals ADORED public works of art that were "offensive" (Piss Christ, bloody scenes, shocking sex acts, etc), because the entire point of "great art" was to shock and offend and challenge beliefs and make people think? Why does this no longer apply to Confederate works of art?
Most Americans realize that the Confederacy was a very worthy cause and America would be better off if it had survived. It would have been a only a matter of time before the majority of states joined the Confederacy. The result would have been glorious.
The statues come down cause the whiny entitlement class always wins.
How about the Korean war memorial and Vietnam memorial wall in DC? Many leftists don’t like our cause in those wars either, but it would piss off one hell of lot of veterans to tear them down.
I don’t think the majority of the people of America realize that since 1953 the Confederate men who died in the war are considered American Veterans. This is a awful case of ignorance by most of the American people. The monuments are protected by LAW.
The posturing and virtue signaling by the corrupt left is surely a sight to behold. The Democrap party is going to rot in the wilderness for the foreseeable future.
To the left, that just proves America is racist.
To the rest of us it proves the left is racist.
