Taxpayer-funded PBS and NPR are now in the polling business with Marist College, and like the other networks, their polls are often used to support putting heat on Republicans. On Wednesday, they announced they had found a majority of Americans were disappointed with the presidents responsive to the violence in Charlottesville. PBS then ignored their own finding that 62 percent favored leaving Confederate statues in place, while only 27 percent want them removed. NPR reported it once, and then insisted that had nothing to do with Charlottesville.
Buried in the weeds: They also asked if Americans approve or disapprove of Black Lives Matter: 50 percent disapproved, and only 33 percent approved. They even asked about approval of Antifa, but few had heard of them yet: Five percent approved, 24 percent disapproved, 18 percent said they had no opinion either way, and 53 percent were unsure. But if the results don't fit....you must omit?
Heres how the PBS NewsHour presented the poll on Wednesday night:

“We saw that resonate” is often network code for “our liberal bias resonated.” It’s fairly obvious that the terrifying vehicular homicide in Charlottesville strongly resembled Islamic automobile attacks in Europe, and many Republicans said so. The Justice Department is investigating on that basis. But when you skip over your own poll when it doesn’t please you, those results never get a chance to “resonate.”
“Your tax dollars are at work...providing a Xerox of the liberal bias of the other networks.”
Apparently the lesson was not learned.
President Trump is RIGHT again!!!!
A strong majority disapproved of the President’s response. This is why I think he should clarify what he said. He can clearly denounce both the supremacists and the anarchists. He can clearly stand up for free speech and the founders’ statues.
typical of the left wing radicals. They use words to put a positive spin in what they are doing , or their agenda.
Gay homosexuals, illegal undocumented, anti fascist while they are fascists.
Of course. They are the corrupt Media Party who lie and distort and employ any other form of dishonesty to push their agenda.
The last time I checked in on the Marist poll of Trump’s popularity it was a poll about 1000 ADULTS. If you want an accurate poll of the voting public that decides elections then you have to poll LIKELY VOTERS.
Polls of adults always favor Dems over the GOP compared to likely voters.
I have no idea what Marist uses for D/R/I but it is not likely to favor Trump.
“A strong majority disapproved of the Presidents response.”
yes, only according to the polls that they want you to see....
“A strong majority disapproved of the Presidents response. This is why I think he should clarify what he said.”
With all due respect, you should read the enclosed below. IMHO, Trump actually did a very good job in terms of doing what you thought he should have done. Again, Media Party corruption and lying completely misrepresented his remarks (yet again).
His statement was on the spot. He does not need to clarify anything, he clearly denounced both sides.
He could not have said it much better. Not his fault MSM, antiTrumpers, etc. speak Klingon.
Yeah, I guess the “majority” Polled would have been happier if President Trump proposed outlawing Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists and White Nationalists while eliminating the Free Speech portion of the First Amendment before he committed Suicide at a Press Conference.
Don’t forget the Antifa swastikas they wear on their arms.
You think you can drain the swamp when even these two minor entities remain funded?
The fact that people are so uninformed about what Antifa is tells you everything about the Lamestream Media. They are deliberately NOT telling the truth about these groups.
