therealdickgregory It is with enormous sadness that the Gregory family confirms that their father, comedic legend and civil rights activist Mr. Dick Gregory departed this earth tonight in Washington, DC. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and love and respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time. More details will be released over the next few days - Christian Gregory

Thank you. Hope you get to see it. I may end up sleeping through the eclipse. :-P
If he kept it to basically himself, I wouldn’t have noticed so much.
Then I see Prince making a reference to this video from a Tavis Smiley set-up on, apparently, PBS. Tavis Smiley is the one moderating in that video - you can hear his voice in some versions of it.
This Dick Gregory clip inspired Prince’s song “Dreamer” - which I have never heard and certainly don’t care to, especially now.
Don’t do that. You can just go outside.
A 100% is very rare. In math terms a 100 vs 99 is 10,000 times greater and you will see a great event.
Temps will drop 10F and the shadows will be incredible.
Get your butt up.
“”Chemtrails” [are] just a joke by flying types.” True. Art Bell radio should buy pizza for all the flying types, since Art Bell talked about chemtrails to keep people awake while driving late at night. He also talked about ufo’s, remote viewing, big foot and other silly things that sound cool when driving late at night.
His rep said he died of heart failure. I’m surprised he didn’t live longer since he was into health.
The State of South Carolina has asked everyone not to shoot any lizard people or sasquatch during the event. (this is real)
Has CNN blamed President Trump yet?
So let me get this straight. Prince was so concerned about Chemtrails, but not about the garbage his was putting into his body that ultimately killed him?
Cleaver, the Black Panther dude? I had no idea he became a Republican. He invented his own religion called “Christlam”? And then became a Mormon? That dude was all over the place, jeez.
“Freedom & Peace Party, they split from P&F “
LOL, what did the Maoists brake off from the Trotskyites? ;D
He went on a hunger strike to demand an investigation of Ron Brown’s death.
They’ll probably get mad at him for not ordering flags at half-staff.
It seemed when Obama was POTUS, the flags were at half-staff at least half of the time.
We should organize a televised debate between their party leaders over whose brand of Socialism is better, and why. I bet most voters wouldn't be able to tell any of those parties apart from the "mainstream" Democrats around today.
“Elder Cleavage” as Archie Bunker called him. He ran in the 1986 U.S. Senate GOP primary (lost to the liberal Republican Ed Zschau). He placed 9th out of 13 candidates, right behind the son of ex-Sen. Bill Knowland.
Bruce Herschensohn should’ve gotten the nomination, and might’ve had he faced a runoff with Zschau.

Take a look who endorsed Cleaver. ;-D
I’d believe it. Democrats are okay with millions of aborted black babies.
The late Dr Stan Monteith once made the same claim about contamination of water in the black community.
What is the effect on behavior of all the fast food trash which makes up a significant % of the diet of lower income groups?
I can’t tell them apart from some “mainstream” Republicans, like Willard, McQueeg, Linda, Flake n’Bake, Sinator Sassy, Chattanooga Chafee Corker, or all those other virtue-signaling gutless weasels of the past week. I’m surprised they didn’t don their Blackshirt gear and pink pussyhats to sing Kumbaya with the Antifa Communo-Fascists.
It certainly doesn’t do well for their health with all these overweight kids and adults. Ever seen pics of poor Blacks from 50-60 years ago marching in Civil Rights events ? Skinny as string beans (or at least healthy-sized). Look at the ones protesting today over having welfare benefits cut and they look like an emergency case for Richard Simmons.
You scouldrel, did it as a joke?
I liked endorsing people there, but they won’t let me anymore since the site went offline and came back, and the list of endorsers cut off when it filled up so I couldn’t see all of mine, I’d wanted to delete a couple.
Crowded primary, like 1988’s. Hate to see a RINO win with just 37%. He almost beat Cranston though.
No county wins for 3rd place (Antonich, LA Supervisor who just lost a State Senate race) and Bobbi Fiedler (she gave up a House seat to place a poor 4th? Ouch) but the 5th place dude had scant plurality wins in tiny Alpine and Lassen, and he was from LA County, odd.
It would’ve been curious to see how he’d have functioned as a Senator. Of course, had he been a Democrat, he’d have gotten full media adoration coverage. Republican ? He gets ignored.
Bobbi Fiedler would’ve been an interesting candidate, but unfortunately as with Maureen Reagan in 1982, she was a strong pro-abort candidate (and pro-ERA). She was badly hurt by being one of 4 serious L.A.-area and politically ruined when it was criminally alleged she tried to pay off Ed Davis to get out of the race (she’d have had to pay off the other 2 guys as well).
Likely the support she’d have gotten absent the scandal would’ve come out of Zschau’s as a social liberal Republican. He benefitted by being a non-L.A. candidate, though. A single unified L.A. candidate would’ve won the nomination (or if Fiedler had gotten more votes out of Zschau to tip it to Herschensohn).
Did you ever think you’d live long enough to see California cease to be competitive for a Republican candidate statewide ?
I suppose it’s my fault, but the name Dick Gregory means almost nothing to me. I know he’s supposed to be a celebrity and pontificator, but he has made zero impression on my life to date. Was he ever actually entertaining, or just a leftist blowhard?
