A quality of life study conducted by the website 24/7 Wall Street formulated a list of the 50 worst cities to live in America, and some commonly referenced shanty towns headline it.
The 50 worst cities list was not kind to the state of Michigan, which contributed two cities to the top 10, and is home to the number one worst city to live in the US: Detroit.

I call BS on this article.
1. The criteria are weak at best.
2. Ask 25 random people on the street what the worst city is. Betcha Chicago is there. But it didn’t make this list?

I just read the criteria and it was as one would guess. Every city has its dead end areas. What were these areas like before LBJ’s War on Poverty?

I still love Detroit. No one can take away my years of magical childhood there.
And Michigan completely rocks. That's all.

My city made 28. The city created a rule that wards can't vote for their own candidate. The whole city votes for each councilman and mayor although the mayor's mostly just a figurehead. After the last election GOP has given up on the City and I don't blame them.
They've got it rigged good so no real conservative can ever win even one seat on the council. Unless the citizens can ever change that crooked rule through the State or Supreme Court, only DNC idiots will ever be on the City Council and they are truly drool stupid.
They are trying to make us number one on the list. The only reason they haven't done it so far is they are too dumb to accomplish their own goals.

When I go back to Milwaukee its obvious that my hometown has decayed significantly since I left in the 70s but to claim anything about it is anywhere near as bad as some of the other cities ee’ve mentioned is just asinine.

Hard to believe that Phoenix isnt in the top 50.Not sure how Tucson beat them out. South Tucson is pretty ghetto but nowhere near as bad as South Phoenix. And if I had my choice between number 27, Paterson, New Jersey, 28, Tucson, Arizona or 29, Gary, Indiana... I've been to all 3 and I'll take Tucson.

Well I meant Phoenix as in the metro area. Wasn’t singling out towns. Scottsdale is nice but I prefer the East Valley.

Yeah right LUBBOCK,TX. is in the list but Chicago is not, do not believe this thing at all, Lubbock is a super clean city one of a few cities that a street sweeper goes by at least twice a month almost every city street has an alley low crime wide streets low auto congestion, yes is in the middle of no where but it is a beautiful city.

Wilmington, Delaware is 10th but Camden, New Jersey, is 48? **CAMDEN**???? is better than Salt Lake City or Wilmington, Delaware?

No one in their right mind would want to live in **Camden**!! The only people still left in the city can't find the means to leave or are too stoned or drunk to care.

I am trying to figure out why Miami Beach is on that list. In the early 80s it became a hell-hole because they settled a lot of the Mariel boat lift people there but eventually they left. Or is there still a high crime rate in Miami Beach that I’m not aware of?

Exactly. Camden is 48, and Knoxville is 23. This is either a joke or an agenda.

Austin is the worst. All kinds of freaks and libs.

To: Vigilanteman
They are not using the same criteria I would.
