New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito (D-East Harlem) said "ultra right-wing forces" in Puerto Rico are trying to undermine this year's Puerto Rican Day Parade.
The city's parade made national headlines with its decision to designate Oscar Lopez Rivera, a convicted terrorist, as its "National Freedom Hero."
Lopez Rivera led the FALN, a left-wing liberation movement in Puerto Rico, which bombed several sites across the United States - including NYPD barracks.
"A lot of the campaign putting pressure on the sponsors to withdraw... is being manipulated and organized and orchestrated from an ultra-right wing element on the island [of Puerto Rico]," Mark-Viverito said, according to the New York Daily News.

"Right-wing forces in Puerto Rico" must mean almost everyone on the island, as most people here condemn this "honor". Most Puerto Ricans must be "right wing" then. Who knew.

..."ultra right-wing forces" in Puerto Rico...It is to boggle the mind. Anybody or any opinion that is not fully on board with the liberal left in Puerto Rico must by definition be "ultra right wing".
Somehow, "ultra right wing" is not a term I would apply to ANYTHING remotely related to that island paradise. Something to do with extended exposure to the sunshine, I think.

Isn't that the parade that typically ends with a half dozen dead revelers littering the sidewalks?

Isn’t this criminal loser the one FALN terrorist that didn’t get a pardon or clemency from Bill Clinton because he refused to renounce terrorism and violence, when he let the rest of the FALN terrorists out of prison to help get Hillary elected senator?

What is the matter with New Yorkers? To honor a terrorist with a parade is so outrageous that it makes sane Americans wish for a way to vote them out of the USA.
