Mitch McConnell has put the Senate Obamacare Repeal and Replace Bill in the leadership of Ted Cruz. McConnell has appointed a GOP Working Group led by Cruz to write a Repeal and Replace Bill. This process bypasses the Senate Committees. This new Senate Bill will go directly to the Senate floor for a vote.

No idea which. Probably the second one. Cruz has no friends in the Senate, and Trump is short on friends there as well.

Good! My senator will get the job done...and get it done right! He wants repeal without replace, and I hope he gets his way. Any “replacement” will be another disaster!

Trump PROMISED PP would be defended, the evangelicals came out in droves to get Trump over the finish line this IS A PROMISE that should NOT be broken!!! Cruz will be the ONLY one who can get this DAMNED bill to defund!!!! < /p>
Not sure what this is about, Trump pledged to defund Planned Parenthood; he will do it if it crosses his desk, the House already defunded it. The president is still but one man.

I'm OK with this. Cruz seems like her is serious about getting rid of Obamacare, so he would be a good person to lead this group. Yep, seems good, let's roll.

From McConnells point of view its better to have Cruz inside the tent pissing out than outside the tent pissing in. Good point. There's no love lost between Cruz and the turtle.

Agreed, win-win for McConnell either way...I personally think Cruz will do his best to get the right bill in place...

can anyone here expand on the ‘existing conditions’ coverage in AHCA? I want to know if it looks like EC’s will still be covered in AHCA.

Cruz has no friends in the Senate, and Trump is short on friends there as well. That's a damning indictment of the Senate.

That's a damning indictment of the Senate. Is it wrong?
To: DoodleDawg
It’s 100% correct. There may be as many as a half-dozen Senators who are worth a damn. For all the campaign season bad blood spilled between them, Ted Cruz is probably Donald Trump’s best friend in the Senate. And from Ted Cruz’s perspective, Donald Trump’s election as President is at worst the second-best possible outcome. I hope they both realize that if they want to MAGA, they need to work together even if they detest each other personally.
