Republican leadership is looking to fund Planned Parenthood in their latest spending bill but not the Trump border wall.
Could these lawmakers be any more out of touch with their base? CNS News reported:
“ When Donald Trump stood in the lobby of Trump Tower on June 16, 2015 and announced he was running for president, he told all who listened to “mark” his words.
“I would do various things very quickly,” Trump said.
“I would repeal and replace the big lie, Obamacare,” he said.
“I will build a great, great wall on our southern border,” he said. “And I will have Mexico pay for that wall…
…Congress faces an April 28 deadline to pass a new government funding bill.
There is currently no talk that it will include language to prohibit funding of Planned Parenthood.
But there is talk that it will not include the language that President Trump has requested to provide $1.4 billion to begin his project to build “a great, great wall on our southern border.”
The Republican House can pass and send to the Republican Senate a bill that funds the border wall but not Planned Parenthood. Or they can pass one that funds Planned Parenthood but not the border wall.
The former course of action would fulfill the campaign promises that got their president elected. The latter would appease congressional Democrats and the liberal press.
So, which will it be?

If Ryan goes against the wish of the “Deplorables”, all of need to start a re-call to get him removed from politics completely. It is time we took America back.
You are the only one projecting that nonsense onto us. We have made it very clear: no budget that defunds PP and funds the border wall by 2018? No votes for the GOP. No obunghole care repeal and imprisoned Hitlery by 2020? No vote for Trump. It's that easy. We were told we were going to get certain things done with Trump & the GOP in power. We don't get these, we put dummycrats in control to bring about the end.
We need a Speaker of the House, in other words leadership. Not Democrat light.

What does the GOP have to do with funding the wall? I agree with them. It’s not their job to fund a wall that already has alternative sources of funds to build it.
Trump said he will get Mexico to pay for it. So really all the GOP has to do is get out of the way and allow that to happen.
And what with the El Chapo idea that Ted Cruz has come up with - things are fine.

The matter of the moment is the CR, and y’all chest thumpers may want to wrap your minds around a much more critical part of it than the Wall or PP funding.
It has to raise the debt ceiling, too.

Yes it is. We might a well have Nancy as Speaker. Millions of voters will walk away from the GOP if they deny Trump the funds to build a real wall. I am disappointed that Trump caved and agreed to sigh a CR that does not fund the wall. I doubt the wall will ever be built now.
I really regret voting for a ticket that included this assclown.

But you don’t do it in a CR. You do it in a budget. There will be no budget by end of week. There can be only a CR by then.

Rush wants Trump to veto any budget that :
1) Doesn't have funding the Wall in it
2) Funds Planned Parenthood
3) Funds Obamacare
Some of it Rush is getting from his angry call in listeners, as he should have known Trump wouldn't do this.

The US Army is deployed all over the Middle East and North Africa (Marines too) so I doubt we have the forces necessary to secure a 2,000 mile border.
