A lot of people need a dirt nap. A lot. Like a whole lot.
The author sounds like a lib but she is quite right. Back in the old days there were tomboys and sissies. Most grew out of it. Good article from a surprising source.
Holy moley.
This mom says her daughter is a girl, no question. But then she also says she has sympathy for “trans” kids, and she has researched puberty blockers and hormones??? Why would she be researching such topics if she is saying her daughter is just a normal girl????
“In many ways, this is wonderful: It shows a much-needed sensitivity to gender nonconformity and transgender issues.”
Typical liberal nutcake. Sure hope her daughter grows up to be a normal woman.
Some parents need their heads checked......they’re just as confused as they’re making their children
So we were right. A lot of these so called Transgender kids are being manipulated to say they are of the opposite sex. The way this story reads is that the schools and doctors are trying to get her to go against nature. Let kids be kids.

There’s at least half yer problem right there, lady.
My wife was such a tomboy that one of her male friends when she was young asked his mom if she could sleep over and the mom said no because she is a girl. His response was, “[name]’s a GIRL?!”
And yet she is more woman than any woman I’ve ever met. Hence the “wife” part. :)
Libs really need to lighten up.
My optometrist told me she sees more kids crying because they CAN’T have glasses (don’t need them) than the reverse. Surprising to me, but evidently wearing glasses has somehow become “cool” just like being a tranny has. Some parents tell them “that’s OK, we’ll get you a pair of fake glasses instead”, which is catering to the same BS theory that these tranny-encourager parents embrace.
Kids need direction not buddying. If you’re a girl you can wear your hair however you wish and play sports, dress as you feel comfortable. But you are still and always will be...a girl. A young female with two X chromosomes.
The end.
Kind of sounds like both mom and daughter like the attention they get from the daughter’s tomboy looks. As well as confusing people about the daughter’s gender.
In this case its just a variation of the freak circus mentality.
When I was in the Army, I wore my hair VERY short. Who had TIME to fuss with it, plus you had Helmet Head every day, anyway.
I was called, ‘Sir’ on more than one occasion by civilians. Meh.
My sister was the REAL tomboy. She wore a pair of (play) Six Guns from the time she could toddle until she went to Kindergarten. Mom wouldn’t let her wear them to school or church or in the bathtub, but the minute she could, they were on her hips again, LOL!
Yeah. I guess we’re weirdos. *Rolleyes*
POW! Out of the park.
They will eventually convince this girl that she’s trans or a lesbian. Count on it.
Sounds like indoctrination.
I was a tomboy-I’ve always preferred male friends, I wear jeans work boots and T’s to work-construction work.
I also am a real female-have waist-length hair, like to wear a dress and heels and go out to dinner with my man. I have been married twice, have kids and recently got my flame from college as my man. People have a problem with girls/women like me now? WTF is that-they need to mind their own damned business...
Exactly, for my entire life, the left has been saying that men and women should be free to act any way they choose. Now they are saying that if someone chooses to act outside of traditional sex roles, people have to change gender.
Actually, she is gender nonconforming -- or, you could say she's sex-role nonconforming.
Words matter, and conflating "gender" with "sex" makes sensible discussion of these issues impossible (the article is a case in point). The former (gender) is social or social/psychological -- so it mainly has to do with assigned "roles". The latter is biological -- and can not be changed by cross-dressing, by taking drugs, or even by operations.
Very sexist clothes and overall comment. Sounds like justification for editorial, sociaety acceptance, and therapy.
I’m sure glad I grew up when I did ... I was (still kind of am ...) a tomboy. I liked fishing, shooting, climbing trees, riding horses, music, art, make-up, JOhn Deere tractors, dairy cows, trucks, and fashion history. And had a huge crush on Tom Selleck back in the day.
If some of those do-gooders got a-hold of me when I was a kid I would have been seriously messed up.
I never doubted my gender. My interests were varied.
People try harder now than in the 1950s to put people in rigid categories based on temporary likes and dislikes. It’s really puzzling. And as usual with a lot of our society’s problems, kids get the worst of it.
The Who-I’m a Boy (1967)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3apJAMySqrI
One little girl was called Jean-Marie
Another little girl was called Felicity
Another little girl was Sally-Joy
The other was me
And I’m a Boy
My name is Bill and I’m a head case
They practice making-up on my face
Yeah I feel lucky if I get trousers to wear
Spend days just taking hairpins from my hair
I’m a boy, I’m a boy
But my ma won’t admit it
I’m a boy, I’m a boy
But if I say I am
I get it
Put your frock on, Jean-Marie
Plait your hair, Felicity
Paint your nails little Sally-Joy
Put this wig on little boy
I’m a boy, I’m a boy
But my ma won’t admit it
I’m a boy, I’m a boy
But if I say I am
I get it
I wanna play cricket on the green
Ride my bike across the street
Cut myself and see my blood
I wanna come home all covered in mud
I’m a boy I’m a boy
But my ma won’t admit it
I’m a boy, I’m a boy, I’m a boy
I’m a boy, I’m a boy, I’m a boy, I’m a boy
I’m a boy, I’m a Boy
I’m, A, Boy!
