Man who filmed the United Airlines passenger: 'I don't blame the security guards at all'
Washington Examiner ^ | April 11, 2017 | Sean Langille

The person who filmed the video of a man being forcibly removed from a United Airlines flight over the weekend says security is not to blame for the situation.

"It's clearly the man's fault that security had to drag him off. He was resisting. I don't blame the security guards at all," Tyler Bridges, who captured the moment on his cellphone, told Fox Business on Tuesday.

At least United didn’t do like the following incident.

Man’s body, seen tossed from plane, found on roof of Mexican hospital

If United needs to manage its employees, that's their problem. Not that of the paying passengers.

You don't take food purchased at the grocery store out of the customer's bag and give it to the stockboy because he needs that last can of Spagheti-Os.

Good thing the doc didn’t need sleep before surgery.

Sounds like the crew was late going to their job.

> The car is not legally yours by title or purchase. You just paid to borrow it. <

I think we’ve finally reached a point of agreement! So the car company (or United) would not be breaking any laws. They did nothing illegal.

But I believe a contract - a promise - has been violated. It’s a civil case. A jury will decide how much that violation is worth.

union demands sell to the public better when you call them safety concerns (like carry on on baggage restrictions)

With a train, you’re still subject to abuse. Just drive yourself.

The guy bought the ticket, the ticket was accepted and he was allowed to board. Anything after that is all on United’s head. The “unbooked employee” should come second to paying customers already in their seat. And I’m not even going to get into the beat down they put on him.

Uh no. That’s when they go to bumping people. Which isn’t a new policy or practice.

Uh, the company has now committed suicide. Policy, schmolicy.

Agree. If the following statement, by a heavy-hitting personal injury lawyer, doesn’t make the hair stand up on the back of Munoz neck, nothing will:

“The family of Dr. Dao wants the world to know that they are very appreciative of the outpouring of prayers, concern and support they have received,” Stephen L. Golan, one of the attorneys representing the Dao family, said in a statement, according to CNBC.

The family will not be making any public statements to the media until Dao has been released from the hospital He is undergoing treatment for his injuries, and is requesting privacy, Golan said.

The only thing that’s going to come out of this is more government regulations and slightly higher fares.

The lawyers will make a little money, but they’ll still be miserable people. The pervert who traded drugs for gay sex will have more money and fame, but he’ll still be miserable.

Flying for the cattle class will still be as unpleasant as ever, because they place more importance on low price than anything else.

And thank you for admitting in your special way that the employees weren’t flying for free.

‘The lawyers will make a little money, but they’ll still be miserable people.’

On what do you base this conclusion? First hand experience?

That is stupid without defining what led up to security being called.

LOL!

Oh please. The people on the lynch mob bandwagon love to act like the intensity of “outrage” online = reality.

Within a month all of the outrage queens will be onto their next shiny toy to have a meltdown over and UA will still be flying. People just dont get worked up for THAT long over an isolated incident.

Remember the Syria or Pepsi outrage for 7 days ago? Most people dont already. That is how fast people move on.

Easy for him to say since he was not the person who had his seat taken away.

If he was so cool about the jackboots beating up a passenger, then why didn’t he volunteer to give up his seat for the coupon being offered by United?

Dao's attorney is holding a press conference this morning.

If United's offer to provide financial compensation to other passengers is a de facto case of "witness tampering," then Dao's attorney is currently engaged in a de facto case of "jury tampering."

It works both ways -- doesn't it?

"That is stupid without defining what led up to security being called."

Security was called because after I sat down at the counter, paid for my breakfast and started to eat it, was told I had to leave so someone else could have my seat and eat my breakfast, and if I didn't leave they would bodily toss me.

He, I'm an American, not some Euro-weeny that can be pushed around by some fag in Brussels.

We were talking about this at work, and almost to a man we would all have started swinging as soon as they laid hands on us.
"DONT TREAD ON ME"

There, in a nutshell, is the problem. But it's just not anti-social psychotics. It's a panoply of contemporary social developments creating a perfect storm for the flying public.

Bottom line, Mac, just the thought of traveling with you in a metal tube at 540 miles per hour at 36,000 feet is scary beyond belief.

This topic reveals, today, just how many nasty things converged to create the event, and the social morons concentrate on the hapless airline. In order of importance...

Koranimals; specifically, 911.
How much that has cost us so far is in the multiple Trillions. Just how much is never discussed.

Lawyers. The educated clown on TV now defending the psychotic passenger and attacking the Airline is a great example. The ignorant and mentally dull are being persuaded.

Government regulations: Is there a human being that can really understand all the bureaucratic regulations that control flying, written in Klingon?

Booze.
If someone needs booze in order to fly, they should go to Europe on a bicycle. If smokers can go an hour or eighteen without a cigarette (whether they like it or not) the alcoholics can similarly comply.
Booze has no place in a metal tube at 35,000 feet with 300 souls aboard.

Oh yes, there's lots more. If this incident does nothing else, it should clarify the need to define the duties and obligations of both Airlines, and Passengers.

If it takes more than four sentences and a two page glossary of terms, it's not ready for prime time.
i.e. what is "reasonable?" "excessive?" "sane?" "medicated?" "drunk?" "etc.?"

I am not a "frequent flyer." but by no means a flying virgin. I have flown (commercially) in a Ford trimotor, DC-3, a twin 9 passenger over jungle (lost a month later), 747s mostly United and in gentler more civilized times when traveling with an infant provided unexpected special attention. Understanding the complexities of the world airline system, I have nothing but admiration for American Airlines. No airline is, or can be perfect.

Never in all those years have I experienced anything similar to the current non-story. The narrative is being driven by the functionally insane.

I’m basing my conclusion on the type of lawyers who would take this particular case.

So in your mind their is no difference between a general news conference and personally handing out checks to actual witnesses of the event.

If I hadn’t taken you to be more perceptive than this, I’d have never responded to you in the first place.
