At Cromwell High, Transgender Athlete Competes With Girls For First Time (And Wins Every Time!)
Hartford Courant ^ | 4-7-2017 | Matthew Conyers

Posted on 04/12/2017 5:31:10 PM PDT by brucedickinson

With family, friends and teammates cheering her on at her first high school track meet, Andraya won the girls 100- and 200-meter dashes, and helped her 4x100-meter relay team take second place. She ran 11.99 seconds in the 100 and 26.34 in the 200.

"I do hope I inspire people, but not only with track," Andraya said Wednesday. "I hope it inspires people to not hold yourself back just because you're scared of it or it is your first time doing it, or because of other people's negativity.

I worked with a girl in the Summer of 1965 who would have beaten his ass. She was probably not too far off the women’s world record tho I don’t think she ever competed.
I ran a 10.4 and she would make me run close to max to beat her. She was also a beautiful blonde.

Not wanting to call you a liar, but the world record in 1964 was 10.06. A 10.4 would have placed you in first in every single first round heat in the 1964 Olympics, put you in the top 5 in the second round, and placed you in 6th in the Semifinals, qualifying you for the Final where you would have come in 4th, just off of the podium.

If she was just behind you, then she would have won gold, since the Women's US, Olympic, and World records were set by Wyomia Tyus in the first heat of the second round in the 1964 Olympics at 11.2 seconds... which is about 25 feet behind you. An 11.7 would have gotten her into the Final. Two women ran over 12.9 in their opening heats... but even so, they were Olympians. (Iran and Ghana) Only one woman has ever beaten 10.75, ever.

There goes Title IX, ‘roid rules, laws and restrictions and the entire girls’ athletics programs et al.

Just wait until these boys start taking college athletic scholarships from Buffy and Shameika. Then the SHTF.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Bob Hayes ran a 9.1 hundred yards when I was in high school in the mid 60s. A 9.6 which is what I ran in college, (as I stated earlier, I ran a 10.2 in high school) would not have even made the U.S. squad.

As a matter of fact I did qualify for nationals in the 100 with a 9.7 but the coach did not take me because he rightly knew I had no chance.

"At Cromwell High..."

They named a High School after the guy from the pig movies?

Somehow that fits this story...

It’s a bad sign that even one American, anywhere, thinks this sort of thing should be allowed, let alone encouraged and celebrated.

And not just a bad sign for youth sports. It's a sign that madness has become our norm.

I wouldn’t say they are poor. Just not fast for guys. The 100, I think is meters, is a good time.

No that is slow for a guy who thinks he is any kind of athlete.

An 11.99 100 meters would be around 11 seconds flat for the 100 yards. That is not fast enough to make any high school team at least that does not allow everyone.

I can't tell you how much I love this crap. This is like wiping your behind with silk. The liberals have to bend over and take this stuff. This dude comes in and smashes their records, and they can't complain. They have to award him, she's a champion, a hero, in fact.

Same here.

There is a radio talk show guy (Andrew Wilcow) that says that America isn't "bitterly divided" at all like the politicians always say.

He says that America isn't nearly divided enough.

When Dingbat Mommy and Hangdog Daddy start paying attention to this kind of madness and actually start to do something and vote about it, then this crap will end.

But we're not there yet. Hillary won the popular vote, so America hasn't suffered nearly enough for most dumbass Americans to stop paying attention to Sportsball, Reality Show, Cop Drama, and Low IQ Sitcom.

If children are coming up in an American culture that permits them to literally BE the opposite sex, and they're not put in an asylum and their parents are not arrested, and nobody even bats an eye, then we're not bitterly divided enough.

We went to state, B schools, Washington, in 4 x 440

About 3:34.8 our best time.

To quote my Grandpa: The memory of man runneth not to the contrary.

At state, running in 4th, ‘we’ dropped the baton.

I trained hard, and saw results. Still feel the accomplishment, and enjoy folks who can relate.

That's nothing!

I knew a girl that could bench press 1200 lbs. and squat 3000 lbs.

World records for men! But she didn't tell anybody. She was very petite at 5'4" and 119 lbs.

She was totally drop dead gorgeous and was a swimsuit model and a black belt in karate.

In the summer of 1961 in the Army, July 27th, between 6:39 AM and 7:03 AM, I did 79 pushups and ran a 3 mile run in 16 minutes 32 seconds!

I then had 2 scrambled eggs, 1 cup of orange juice, and 1 slice of toast for breakfast, which I completed at 7:49 AM.

I can't believe it's been well over 50 years and I remember details like that so vividly.

Not wanting to call you a liar, but ......

I'll do it for you.

Not only is this clown throwing out his high school run times, but he's doing it for other runners as well. From 1965. 52 years ago. Quite a memory.

Oh, and he knew a drop dead gorgeous girl with running ability that would put her in the circles of world class runners, but she wasn't a professional runner or even semi-pro.

There's always "that guy" in every group with the completely BS stories. Reminds me of that obnoxious brother in the movie Step Brothers.

"So there I was....summit of Mount Everest, surrounded by the Viet Cong, suddenly a great white shark emerged from the deep...."

I guess they get a kick out of it.

My memory is sometimes not so good but on that I recall it exactly.

I don’t know if you were being a jackass or just trying to be funny but whatever it was it was stupid.

I normally would not post someone’s name on the internet but it has been so long ago that I will go ahead.

She was Jane Hodges and grew up on a farm near Malone, Florida. We worked together at Ridgecrest Baptist Assembly during the Summers of 1965 and 1966. She attended Florida State University and I have not kept up with her.

And, yes she was a beautiful blonde. Probably a natural one.

If he can do this, why doesn’t he just declare himself to be an elderly black woman and go straight to the Senior Olympics?
(”At this point, what difference does it make?”)

Anybody who refuses him is misogynistic and racist and sexist and....
