President Donald Trump declared war on members of his own party on Thursday by threatening the political careers of conservative Republicans who helped torpedo healthcare legislation he backed, but was quickly told the lawmakers will not bow to "bullying."
In a Twitter post, Trump took aim at the Freedom Caucus, a bloc of the most conservative Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives, indicating he would try to defeat them in next year's congressional elections if they continued to defy him.
"The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don't get on the team, & fast. We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!" Trump said on Twitter.
Because Trump faces unified opposition by Democratic lawmakers, he cannot afford to lose many Republicans as he tries to get his legislative agenda through Congress, including healthcare, tax cuts and infrastructure spending. But keeping Freedom Caucus members happy without losing the votes of Republican moderates has proven tough.

Not me. When liberals win, the liberal agenda advances. When self-identified conservatives win, the liberal agenda advances slower.
You need to research what Ryan, the GOPe, and their billionaire donors did to FC member Tim Huelskamp (R-KS).
Everyone I talked to who was the least bit aware of the details thought it was a stinkburger.
Trump campaigned for "great healthcare for all out people" and great is certainly just an opinion but I'm stretching to find someone that thought it was great other than those pushing it.
Any takers out there that wants to explain how great it is?
It was supposed to be good enough to pass to kill Obamacare but not to last and fixed in part 2 and 3 which would not pass. What it boils down to Trump wanted to kill Health Care and use the money for a tax cut.
And it's not like we haven't been told "don't worry, we'll fix it later" about a million times. How's that track record.
I can see "repeal" and "we'll fix it later" (that's the kind of "don't worry" I can handle) and there's the money for tax cuts but wow, I sure think that the FC kept us from eating a stinker.
For decades I've been telling people both parties have been ridding in the same limo. It's one big con-job. Some just don't get it, others are simply in on the fraud. And FC's biggest donors are frauds.
He said he would undo all of Obama’s illegal executive orders and this one still stands and under Trump’s watch another 10,200 illegal aliens have been given work permits.
The people here just wanted a “win” for the President, even if that meant retaining 80% of Obamacare and hanging it around his neck as Trumpcare.
Notice all these con-servatives were no where to be seen in the decades leading up to Trump? Zip.
For a single year only.

When he defunds NPR? Or PBS?
So which would have the greater economic impact -- the garbage Trump and Ryan tried to pass which would substantially continue Obamacare's destructive policies, or a piddling reduction in $$ for NPR?. The economic corrosion wrought by Obamacare is a far greater national menace than NPR programming.
"... the ACA is still the third largest marginal tax rate hike during the seventy years..."

You’re exactly correct.
Can high dollars compare with high propaganda?
Huh, that’s just inscrutable. I choose conservatism. I choose to a Christian who respects other religions and will protect and defend the US Constitution. Fluffy PC stuff...I don’t get it or your remark.
HAHA There ARE NO CONSERVATIVE Republicans, SHEESH..
Yes without YOU he would have never been elcted.. heh heh there are no CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN Politicians, THE PEOPLE ELECTED Trump
You are talking about the GOPe/Ryan types.
Conservatism is what the FC are, at least a little more, holding out for.
Doesn’t take much spin to interpret “We must fight them”.
