Ted Koppel had some harsh words for Fox News host Sean Hannity this morning.
In a CBS 'Sunday Morning' segment, the veteran news journalist said he thinks Hannity, a Fox News commentator, is 'bad for America'.
Hannity said, of the difference between commentary shows such as his own and actual news programs: 'We have to give some credit to the American people that they are somewhat intelligent and that they know the difference between an opinion show and a news show.'
Hannity then called Koppel 'cynical,' which Koppel affirmed.
Hannity asked: 'Do you think we're bad for America? You think I'm bad for America?'
Koppel said 'yes' and that 'in the long haul' such 'influential' talk shows as Hannity's hurt the American people.
Koppel added: 'You have attracted people who are determined that ideology is more important than facts.'
Hannity said that Koppel's rebuke was 'sad.'
On the television program, Hannity also said that 'liberalism has to be defeated' and said that 'angry snowflakes, a 'Democratic establishment' and 'the press in this country' are all obstacles.
Hannity later tweeted about the news segment and referred to it as 'fake edited news.'

Dried mummy Koppel is right up there with Bob “Skeletor” Schieffer and Pharaoh Ramses II.
I think in his heart, he does, but he is not about to admit it, even to himself.
I see him as yet another self=hating liberal who hates America, everything in it (at least everything white), and everything it stands for (but maybe I give him too much credit).
Gee, Mr.Koppel, did you ever think that just maybe we are smart and we can see right through what msm calls facts. The word FACTS when used by the msm appears to mean either “False Accounts Craftily Televised Subterfuge “ or “Fictional Accounts Creatively Told Slyly”.
Hannity is a great American.
But he should stop interrupting every 20 seconds. Oftentimes it’s so infuriating I can’t listen.
Sean, take a damn breath and let others finish a thought!
Koppel can go to hell.
I use to think the same thing of O’Rilley....the two do have their way of interrupting....However I learned this is often used to stop the guest from tooting their own agenda rather than stick on point....regardless it is THEIR show.
TED who?????
Since when has his opinion mattered....
Rush has some nerve. Acting like he is better than Sean. Sean never has done Schumer’s bidding. I bet Sean doesn’t even let himself get wined and dined by the Dem leadership like Rush does. Sean mentioned Obama’s citizenship issues, and the threats to hosts who dared mention it. Rush was a good boy, going where his bread is buttered, steering away from topics the elite don’t like.
If Sean didn’t run tape for himself, he probably just didn’t care enough to. He probably knew he would be edited and just said screw it. Or maybe he did run his own tape.
Doesn’t matter. Sean is one we can’t spare. He fights.
Conservatives and Republican politicians need to just stop doing interviews with the MSM, including FNC. They know they are going to be lied to and about and they know they will edited heavily. So what is the upside to being the patsy for these leftist goons?
Howdy Doody returns
Koppel pretends to speak for America when only a portion of America voted for Hitlery. Koppel has no standing, even, if he admits the he voted for jOkeass's third term.
There is not a chance in hell I will ever vote for a Bolshekrat and neither Rush or Sean is responsible for that.
You got that right. Pretty stupid on Hannity’s part not to at least being able to make his own audio recording of the entire interview.

Bloom County: Ted Kopple is a waffle.
No, Ted, Hannity has attracted people who are interested in hearing a side they NEVER hear from the other networks, and that's the fault of the lapdog media, not Sean Hannity.
It is clear, after all my years of watching politics, that ANYTHING the left legislates, is one more “ism” America can do without!
