Mike Pence recently made a speech sponsored by Club For Growth telling the crowd how great they were. They are avowed Trump haters since day one.

In case you’re unaware, there are voters like me and most of my family that completely approve of this stand. And to say that we are less screwed by ocare would be entirely inaccurate. We just understand that there will likely be just one opportunity to rebottle the genie. I will live with the pain and fight the correct battle.

Thanks to Paul Ryan, unless Trump figure out who his real enemies are the GOPe will get it's ultimate wish: a purge of the conservatives in congress AND the failure of Trump's presidency.

I’m just saying that the general public isnt going to care when they see the bill, and our side had better nix any idea that people are just going to see this as a “heros move” if there isnt some provisions to lesson the blow to their wallet, or at least a good faith effort.
You can live with the pain. A hell of a lot of others will put the pain on the GOP if they just repeal and say “see ya”.
No healthcare bill is coming, now Freedom clowns can beat chest as long as they can.

The Freedom Caucus saved us and they know it. They know they have the leverage going forward. We have until the mid-term elections to get this done. There is time.

Don’t lie to us. Don’t tell us we’re going to be eating steak when RyanCare was a crap sandwich. This bill was crafted by the GOPe in the dark of night. If Phase 1 passed, do you really believe that Ryan would have pushed for Phases 2 and 3? Be honest and involve everyone in the process before a bill is crafted!
Trump is preparing the ground to primary the members of the Freedom Caucus. He’s going to beat as many as he can in the primaries by putting the blame of the failure to repeal Obamacare on them. If he can weaken the caucus, he can get his agenda through.
Ask Freedom clowns to write a bill and they should be sure it should pass before 2040

A non-sitting member, that was once one. But the egos there would make their jobs that much harder.
I would even consider Justin Amash, only if he is on-board with moving legislation (which I think he is) and he keeps the NeverTrump posturing to a minimum (which I cannot guarantee).

Your reasoning seems to lead to the ‘Let’s make ocare better’ camp. Leaving it on the books in any way is a bad call, but taking responsibility for it from Dems is far more damaging politically. Further, the tweaks were fairly superficial. In fact some areas of the bill made ocare worse. How was that a good idea?
