A wet rag would be an improvement.
But I would love to see Newt back. Allen West is a good choice.
A non-sitting member, that was once one. But the egos there would make their jobs that much harder.
I would even consider Justin Amash, only if he is on-board with moving legislation (which I think he is) and he keeps the NeverTrump posturing to a minimum (which I cannot guarantee).
