ANDERSON COOPER, CNN: Professor Dershowitz, you were referenced by President Trump saying that even you believe that they will win at the Supreme Court. Is he right in saying that you believe that? And how surprised are you by the president's comments about the Ninth Circuit and obviously going after this judge in particular?
ALAN DERSHOWITZ: Well, I think the president makes a mistake going after judges. He quoted me correctly, I do think he will win many the United States Supreme Court. It will be an important decision because it will be the first time a court has really handled political statements during a campaign and be used to strike down a facially constitutional statute.
I hope the president doesn't misinterpret my statements to say I support the order. I don't support the order. I don't think it's necessary for the safety of the United States. I'm opposed to it. But I think there's a difference obviously between not supporting an order on policy grounds and finding it unconstitutional. I do not think it's unconstitutional. I think the Supreme Court will uphold it even if Gorsuch is not yet on the Supreme Court. But if he does make it there in time then it will be a clearer victory for the Trump administration in the Supreme Court.

The Democrats will stoop to any depth to try to destroy the Trump Presidency. They think nothing of ignoring the law and centuries of precedent of Presidential power. For them, it’s all about Democrats losing power and not understanding why.
Dershowitz is saying once again he thinks the judges are going to rule on the merits. NONE of the Rat judges will rule on the merits. So it will be 4-4 at best. The idea a ruling can even consider campaign rhetoric is just outrageous. But here we are, they are going to rule whether it can be allowed. Roberts as the Cheif Justice should have overturned both Judges the next day for this reason alone. And what this BS you cannot criticize a judge? He is not sacred he’s just a hack ignoring the law.
It is NOW time to address the 9th Court.
Trump needs to Pack these Courts like FDR wanted to do. Or Arrest these judges and sanctuary mayors

I’d love to see the mayors of L.A., N.Y., and Chi., arrested and doing the perp walk to some hard core prison to spend some quality time with some illegal bubbas.
There have been a surprising number of 8-1 and 9-0 decisions from this partisan court, and I believe most of them involve cases related to the proper role of different branches of government. The Obama administration lost the infamous NLRB case by a 9-0 ruling in a humiliating repudiation of his phony recess appointments.

John Roberts was confirmed right way. President Bush's team swore up and down that he was an "originalist" and Senate Republicans figured that was good enough and quickly rubbed stamped the appointment, giving him a lifetime job on the nation's highest court.
How'd that work out for you?

I’m with Dersh and Judge Napolitano. The law regarding the President’s leeway on immigration is so clear that a 10 year old could understand. The Supremes will uphold Trump.
I would really like to see some of these sanctuary city politicians charged with violations of Title 18; also, if the timid Repubos in the House would actually grow a spine, they could start impeachment proceedings against this Hawaii judge and that other miscreant in Seattle.
