Goodness! That WAS quite a wind! How can he see much in the dark? Too bad he had to find out that you’d been out enjoying the light show! :) Very glad the rotation had slowed before reaching y’all. I just read earlier about the big one that hit the town near your place last year. Yikes!

Whoa! Are you referring to reading about the one that hit last year or about one that hit the same town tonight? We won't hear any news about tonight's storms on TV until 4 a.m.
Hubby was in the car and could see a lot with the headlights. Said a lot of our trees took a hit. Dang!!!!
I did manage to get a couple of good clear lightning shots. Some would have been just as good but the wind was knocking me around a little and they're blurry. These are the two best any way.
I love it when lightning streaks across the sky that way.

Aaaaa, it isn’t that much work. But the English forum has more info and pix any way, to be honest.
See ya at some point tomorrow night. Not sure if Hubby’s going to want to go out or not. Might not be in the mood after seeing everything in daylight. The mess could be worse than we think.
Sleep well!

OK...it looks like WalMart, Walgreens, Target all have it.
Tomorrow at lunch I will try WalMart as it is the next parking lot over from work.

It looks like the rain is about through with us now. Might get a little more in a bit. I think I’ll grab the flashlight and do a little walk around to see things for myself. I’ll be able to see areas Hubby couldn’t get to with the car that way too.
We won’t know how much rain we really got because when it was coming down the hardest, it was blown horizontally and little got into the gauge. We got a lot and that’s the important thing.
Convenient that there’s a Wal Mart close to work. Those things don’t cost much either so getting one is a snap. The fun will be in getting her to remember she only has to clap to turn the light on and off. :-)

Great lightning shots!
Better cleaning up OUTSIDE when it was so close, than a hit on the house or barn or outbuildings.
I’m off to bed.
Sleep well when you get there. ((HUGS))

Just got back from the walk around and I’m just sick. No roof damage to any buildings, which is great, but almost all of the cedar trees took major hits. They were old and large and we both liked them a lot. One weeping cedar that’s really old is the one that hurts the most to see. It’s been beaten up a little here and there over the years and lost a chunk of the top when the tornado hit a few years ago. But I wouldn’t let Hubby take it down when he threatened to a couple of times. It may have to come down now. :-(
But it could have been a lot worse and we’re grateful it wasn’t. Watching the early morning news now and others across the state weren’t so lucky.
I hope your streets aren’t too slick in the morning. We want you getting to work safe and sound. HUGZ

I actually liked Green Tambourine and "Archies record. Probably because I feared that older brothers would have seriously hurt me if I had."LOL. IMO, Green Tambourine had a catchy tune.
Guessing by the time you guys get here, I'll be off to the gym.
Have a wonderful day and weekend.
