There was plenty of confusion during that phone call and the interviewer did what he could to mix things up. He was switching between Barack I and Barack II and between "Was he born in the village?" and "Was he born in Mombasa?" Mombasa's on the other side of the country from the village.
This fake birth certificate's been around for years. As others have noticed, the dates are written US style (Month Day Year), and the British Empire most likely used Day Month Year.
Of course the form is typeset with proportional type. . . That is the way it was done with an offset printer before the invention of the computerized typesetting. You used individual slugs with the character on them and separated them with proportional spacers. You placed them in a printer's block and then ran off your forms in large quantities.
The form would then be put in a typewriter and filled in by a clerk.
Are you referring to the form on which the information was entered, or the type style of the entries? The entries look like normal typewriter strokes to me. In particular, look at the weight line, where the lower case "d" in "pounds" appears to have been hit twice.
Looking across the typed lines, there are different degrees of darkness of certain letters, indicating that the typist had more skill with some fingers on the keyboard than others, striking with more force on the "T", "N", "Y" and "7" in particular, which are all convenienlly located under the index fingers.
If the characters do not look like typewriter technology to you, please city specific examples.

It is possible that Obama is NOT a US citizen at all. His mother ceded his US citizenship so that he could go to school in Indonesia and also so he could be adopted by Lola Soetero. Indonesia DOES NOT permit dual citizenship. He was a citizen of Indonesia when he went to school there. There's no record of Obama ever reclaiming his US Citizenship by naturalization when he returned the US. He had a window opportunity to do that after he turned 18, and he did not. He also used some passport not a US passport when he visited Pakistan when he was 22 years old, after the window expired to reclaim his US citizenship. US citizens were prohibited from visiting Pakistan at that time. What passport did Barry use? Oops.

Good point. Here is another version of a Kenyan birth certificate for BHO associated with the early researcher Orly Taitz, giving the British order of dates. It is ostensibly a birth registration document the following day after the birth.

You are correct that moving the carriage was a technique in use with manual typewriters; but that is not what you are seeing here. This typewriter's numeral keys contains several numerals that extend below or above the baseline and topline, an antique typeform convention. The 3, the 4 and the 9 extend below baseline, and the 6 extends above the topline. Look at the 4 in the two other places it appears besides the "4th" of the birthdate and you will see that it normally extends below the baseline. The "th" is normal, not superscripted; it aligns with the baseline.

Utter nonsense. What there was was a State Department Travel Advisory regarding Pakistan, and what that advisory said was that you couldn't get a visa into Pakistan from India by walking up to the border crossing at Wagha, so you'd better have your visa already in hand if you're trying to cross there.
Here's a New York Times Travel Section article on visiting Pakistan from 1981, the same year Obama went. From the article:

I would suggest Kenyan exile for him and anyone who contributed more than $100,000 to either of his Presidential campaigns. I might also include people in Congress who voted for bills that he signed that did not have at least 80% support in both houses.
And maybe also exile (or death) for anyone who pejoratively referred to people such as myself as birthers.

I knew 10 seconds after it was released that it was a fake.
Prior to publicly releasing the birth certificate Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii State Department of Health went to the state archives in 2008 and 2009 and inspected the document. She reported that she found the original birth record, properly numbered, half typed and half handwritten. During the second inspection Fukino was accompanied by an Archive official who did not contradict Fukino's assertion that the document was half typed and half handwritten. Her media testimony was pointed at as proof of Obama's citizenship.
But as can be seen here the released birth certificate is 100% typewritten (signatures by definition are handwritten and need not be noted as such - nobody would expect them to be typewritten).
That one’s also been debunked. It’s based on some Australian guy’s birth certificate that was on the internet.
