Today, Tuesday 7 March 2017, WikiLeaks begins its new series of leaks on the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency. Code-named "Vault 7" by WikiLeaks, it is the largest ever publication of confidential documents on the agency.
The first full part of the series, "Year Zero", comprises 8,761 documents and files from an isolated, high-security network situated inside the CIA's Center for Cyber Intelligence in Langley, Virgina. It follows an introductory disclosure last month of CIA targeting French political parties and candidates in the lead up to the 2012 presidential election.
Recently, the CIA lost control of the majority of its hacking arsenal including malware, viruses, trojans, weaponized "zero day" exploits, malware remote control systems and associated documentation. This extraordinary collection, which amounts to more than several hundred million lines of code, gives its possessor the entire hacking capacity of the CIA. The archive appears to have been circulated among former U.S. government hackers and contractors in an unauthorized manner, one of whom has provided WikiLeaks with portions of the archive.
"Year Zero" introduces the scope and direction of the CIA's global covert hacking program, its malware arsenal and dozens of "zero day" weaponized exploits against a wide range of U.S. and European company products, include Apple's iPhone, Google's Android and Microsoft's Windows and even Samsung TVs, which are turned into covert microphones.
Since 2001 the CIA has gained political and budgetary preeminence over the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA). The CIA found itself building not just its now infamous drone fleet, but a very different type of covert, globe-spanning force — its own substantial fleet of hackers. The agency's...

McAfee is a joke.....................
Thanks!
Bump!
I am so happy the USA has Presdent Trump!
The CIA’s ignorance is serious.
I can not in good conscience celebrate Snowden 2.0.
Eagles - We are all just prisoner’s here - of our own device.
War is brewing.
In other times, I’d consider Assange’s actions to be criminal. He has exposed classified information that could be damaging to the US. But this is far, far different. What he has exposed is NOT national secrets that keep Americans safe and secure. What he has exposed is dirty dealing by the 0vomit administration. These secrets have NOTHING to do with national security and everything to do with abuse of power.
A second Edward Snowden-level leak and NOTHING on CNN’s front page about it.
Not a single story.
They know this hurt Obama because he was in charge.
I think it might be a good idea to figure out where McCain has been and who he has spoken with. I’d definitely put a tail on him as a national security risk.
Orange pajamas for everybody
Given that he has already developed procedures to hide his communications, he is probably quite a few steps ahead of the game. His trip to Turkey and Erdogan's subsequent - or was it concurrent - shutting off water from Syria and Iraq really pique my interest. I would no longer put it past the man to be on DeepState's - or Obama's, for that matter - payroll as a messenger boy... with a jet instead of a bicycle.

Those who hack, run surveillance and spy on American citizens w/o probable cause warrants are enemies of our constitutional republic....period!
So, kind of like a Submarine Commander losing his nuclear weapons.
One big thing is that people from the former administration have these tools and they are declassified so it is perfectly legal for anyone to have these tools!
They can be using them right now to target the white house and anything else they want to target. Trump should switch to hand written or typed memos and couriers with secure envelopes.
How do you know he hasn’t? At least for certain communications.
OMG.
So the CIA’s hacking arsenal was hacked? Is that a correct summarization?
It’s absolutely shocking....and still..they couldn’t find anything to take him down.
We picked the right man.
Everyone else could be taken out by the CIA...including Mccain.
