Parents in Chatham, New Jersey are demanding answers from the local board of education as it pertains to what their children are being taught in their 7th grade social studies class. According to Nancy Gayer and Libby Hilsenrath, their children are being given lessons about Islam that would never be acceptable if they were about Christianity.
In fact, Gayer said at a board meeting on Monday, her son was specifically chastised a few years ago when he gave a PowerPoint presentation that briefly mentioned his religious views. Gayer said he was told to stop proselytizing when he included a Bible quote in his slideslow. The teacher told him that a quote like that belongs in Sunday School.
Gayer and other parents asked the board to explain why that was off-limits, but it was perfectly fine for the teacher to have the students learn about the religious tenets of Islam.
My sincere issue according to policy 2270 the board of education directs that no religious beliefs be promoted or disparaged, Gayer said at the meeting. Im asking the board meet with the policy committee and eliminate the teaching of Islam and all other religions.
Hilsenrath passed out materials being used in the classroom, which included a cartoon that made extraordinary statements about Islam.
It even goes so far as even making a statement There is no God except Allah, Hilsenrath said. This video also states that Allah is the maker of everything, the one true God, etc. The main character is the cartoon video is looking for converts.
Hilsenrath said that the argument for the educational materials that it would expose the students to religions they dont know much about did not pass muster. She argued that many of the students were almost certainly ignorant about the finer points of Judaism and Christianity as well, yet those religions were barely mentioned in the classroom. Certainly, she said, they were not taught in the same way as Islam.
Its real simple: Either religious studies need to be barred from public schools, or there needs to be equal time given to all of the worlds major religions. Anything that strays from that premise invites unnecessary controversy, especially when the teachings are as off-the-wall as the ones seen here.
This isnt the first time weve seen parents outraged over Islamic indoctrination in the school system. The more it occurs, the more you have to wonder if there isnt something a bit more sinister going on behind the scenes.

NJ parents concerned about Islam emphasis in curriculum

The left wants your kids to know a lot about their future replacements.
If were true, that the ACLU decided islam was not a religion, then the teaching of it would be true, rather then propagandist proselytizing lies that are being taught.
I was being a bit factious in that. The ACLU is anti-Christian so anything to do with Christianity they sue over - they’re in the mussie camp as far as I’m concerned.
Send this to Betsy DeVos.
Yes, I really think there are lots of parents out there who know nothing about the common core/Islam link.
So important for Trump and DeVos to try to reform things.
Now just imagine for a moment if they taught the truth about Islam in the public schools - that it’s a death cult bent on world domination, which may have already happened were it not for The Crusades, and which will surely require another prolonged crusade if western values are to survive.
Yes, if they’d teach the truth about Islam in schools then I’d be for that!
Those parents were smart to realize that the Taqiyyan liars were trying to be sly about indoctrinating them into Islam using the premise that they were just trying to teach them about another culture. Yeah righhhht...
BS - Islam is a battle plan not a religion and the takeover of America from the mush headed liberals is the prize they seek. Insider contacts like traitors, Obama and Soros, makes their job a lot easier especially when they”re cutting their checks and supporting them.
Anyone here old enough to recall “religious education classes” in NY State schools in the late 1940’s? I don’t believe there was one word of objection and in small farming communities it wasn’t a big deal. It was accepted curriculum and didn’t hurt a thing. The Catholic kids met with a priest one period on Fridays and the Protestant kids met with a layperson at the same time. That was it - you were either Protestant or Catholic and no one marched on the school to protest. I don’t remember it occurring in high school - only elementary and Jr. High...
I was being facetious.
Yes it is. I see no difference between teaching the nazi doctrine and teaching islam.
We got to go to religion classes after school in the 960s and 70s. I think there was even a bus.
GOOD!
It’s past time something like this happened.
And Chatham is just a hop, skip and a jump from where they are building the new megamosque in Bridgewater, NJ.
If Christians were lopping off heads they would have put them down long ago. Amazing how this murdering has gone on without putting it down for good
These pukes carried out 9-11, got away with it, and now control our schools and media.
President Trump, I beg you, nuke these goathumpers back to hell.
If they **really** wanted to see things change, they would remove their kids from these indoctrination camps. When teachers and principals started to lose their jobs because the classrooms were empty, **then** and only then would Common Core and this Islamic indoctrination be removed.
But...I suppose that the free babysitting is just too too addicting.
Which son got the blessing from Abraham?
One guess only.
