Trump Leak Now Points To Bezos’ Hidden $600M Deal With Obama CIA To Feed Washington Post
Conservative Daily Post ^ | Feb 24, 2017 | Donna Kay

When writing the 1st Amendment to the Constitution, one area of speech the Founders were specifically interested in protecting was that of a free press. They saw the press as a sort of fourth branch of government, one that would keep the “checks and balances” of the other three branches honest.

However, over time the same press that was given protection has eroded into a propaganda machine driven by money and political agendas of those who own the media outlets. They have crawled into bed with the very entities they are to keep in “check” and bust out if corrupted.

As such is the Mainstream Media today and one the American people no longer trust, and rightfully so given what is being exposed in recent years.

The majority of people do not know Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos purchased the Washington Post and is now the sole owner with no editorial board or ethical review committees to oversee the actions of Bezos as a publisher, much less the courage to stand against the new “boss.”

It begs to question: How is Bezos connected to questionable intelligence leaks in recent months?

What does he have to do with the sudden disruption of web services that kept millions from accessing whistle blowing website, WikiLeaks, during its explosive releases of state department cables?

Sedition at the very least.

Perhaps the 1st Amendment should be modified to remove the press if they are not neutral and do their job’s honestly and unbiased.

"In 2013, it was revealed that Jeff Bezos, the owner of the Post and retail behemoth Amazon, had secured a contract for $600 million with the intelligence agency — an agency that also happens to be seemingly rebelling against President Donald Trump. The contract came just four months after Bezos purchased the newspaper. "

A Yuge target for defunding the left.

Being biased is fine but, taking money from the government to regularly promote a bureaucrat position becomes Pravda and they are no longer an independent organization but, an arm of the Givernment.

Bezos reminds me more and more each day of the great comicbook villain Lex Luthor, but with less menace.

CIA operates within the U.S. I can tell you this with certainty. I once thought it’s not so because of Posse Comitatus and all that. But since 9/11 all of that went out the window and pretty much anything goes “for national security”. The CIA domestic operations are supposedly only involved in monitoring foreign spies and operatives (wink, wink), but they work closely with FBI counterintelligence and work out of classified CIA sites throughout the U.S. in urban, suburban, and even exurban areas. I always thought the reason the CIA and intelligence budget is classified is because it would give half of the American taxpayers heart attacks and cause the other half to pick up their guns. Oh, and if you think these Deep State operatives are protecting America, rest assured a large percentage of them view themselves as sophisticated citizens of the world and identity with the views of the NYT and WP.

It is difficult to see it in the FR listing.

I will ask the Admin Mod to transfer this story to Breaking News as it seems bigger than first thought.

The next soros.

Amazing how almost NO conservatives come up with the next big thing in tech.

Almost like a conspiracy.

I about fell over when I saw Bezos at Trump Tower; I realized soon after with ample evidence that DJT keeps his enemies *much* closer than his friends. He’s been easy on WaPo lately, too.

Like Carville and his 40 more years, the Left really did think the’d won, forever. Now we have 8 years worth of crimes from leftists who thought the treat of having to face any Judge was now ancient history.

“Bezos rushed in to scoop up the failing Washington Post for about $150 million. Now we learn he was given in the same time frame a CIA contract worth $600 million. “

That about says it all.

The First Amendment does NOT confer any special status to a subset of citizens designated as "the press". "Freedom of the press" is just the printing-press version of "Freedom of Speech" and applies equally to all citizens. We all have the same right to publish and speak.

While this article does not say otherwise, I think they ought to have made this distinction clear. I am sick of progressives and even some non progressives imagining that there is some special class called "the press" that is owed some kind of special deference. For example CNN thinking it has a constitutional right to attend press conferences.

All ours does is reprint stories from the NYSlimes or AP. Sometimes the stories can be days or even weeks old, as anyone getting their news from the internet can tell.

Shiny things in the news won’t be where Sessions does his job. Such distractions only work for Democrats. Republicans can expect nothing from the open news organs.

IOW, I’d just as soon see this Bezos thing go underground, while the proper agencies quietly go about their jobs to prosecute it.

Dang ol' CIA is starting to look like a fedgov frat... "Skull & Bones on the Potomac."

Helping Bezos get a $600m contract on his $150m investment; crazy like a fox. No wonder they refer to the CIA as "The Company."

“However, over time the same press that was given protection has eroded into a propaganda machine”

It didn’t erode.

The two goals the communists had a 100 years ago was to take over our media.

They couldn’t get the NYC radio (no TV back then) so they built Hollywood.

As late as the 50’s most larger cities had two newspapers. I grew up in Amarillo, and early on there were two newspapers, the Globe and the Times. Opposite politically. The owner of one was murdered mysteriously, IIRC, and his paper was bought out becoming the Globe-Times, liberal of course.
The founding fathers did expect the press to report the news honestly, and had no vision that the news media might become completely corrupted as it is today. What should happen is RICO should be used to prove the collusion between the media (most of them) and the democrappy party.
