Does law enforcement even need a warrant to enter a public school? I think it applies only to private property or expected-to-be-private rooms like an office even if in a public building. I can’t see how a classroom or school grounds fits into this category. I could be wrong though.

That might work for a Private school but Public schools are well Public! No warrant is necessary. I think trying to stop a law enforcement officer from entering a public building is likely to get you arrested.
