U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Savannah Port of Entry inspected a container of manifested firearm magazines and discovered 591 cartons of pistol magazines bearing the Glock trademark.
The importation of the magazines with the Glock trademark on the packaging was found to be unauthorized and in violation of the registered trademark, said Mark Varga, CBP spokesman.

I owned an early Glock model 17L. It had feeding problems which were traced to the magazines. Glock corrected the problem and the bad mags could be identified easily.
Do you have any idea how?
Ok. I don’t dispute that. They were mentioned in my last post. I don’t disagree there are one-offs. I asked for a LIST of all they imply. Beretta for example. I know they make AMs but I also know factory mags are either Beretta or MDS. I have two 30 cal ammo cans. One for MDS/PB and one for AMs like Mec-Gar and others. Guess why I had to do that?
I meant number 41 to be directed to you.
What would you guys suggest for one of those 30 or 33 round extended mags for a Glock 30s (. 45acp)? I be seen the crappy aftermarket ones at gun shoes but I would never trust those as they look like plastic and tin metal.
I have 15 factory mags for my Sig P320, all are Mec-Gar except for one made by Checkmate. If I remenber correctly it shipped with Mec-Gars.
Various Beretta pistols have shipped with MecGar mags. No complete list is possible as non-military contract manufacture usually precludes the contractor from announcing they’re who’s doing it.
You forgot that it is a matter of public record that Beretta has subcontracted out US military contract orders’ magazine production to Mec Gar as well. So it’s not just Pietro Beretta or their subsidary Meccanica Del Sarca making ‘factory’ magazines for them.
It is also worth noting that the US military was dissatisfied with ALL the Beretta provided magazines and has since taken the contract for M9 magazines to the US manufacturer Checkmate with far better results.
So, will you be refusing Checkmate made mags, hm?
Correct, it did.
I wouldn’t - Glock never made 30+ round magazines for .45. The only reason they made them for 9mm is because they made a fully automatic 9mm machine pistol version of the Glock 17 called the Glock 18 for European police and military sales and a 30+ round magazine was required for that.
All the 30+ rounders for .45 are aftermarket and I’ve never seen one that didn’t have problems or wasn’t crap in some way.
Harbor Freight - also means "Fresh off of the boat from China"
Brownell's and Natchez are good too. Haven't had any bad experiences with CheaperThanDirt either.
SGM Tactical mags are made in Korea. They are the 33 round ones used in the Iraqveteran8888 Glock meltdown YouTube video and never failed.
I use Glock 33 round mags for both my Glock 19 and my Kel-Tec Sub 2000. Glock is the best no question about that.
That being said, I also have some made by SGM Tactical. They are used in a Glock meltdown video on YouTube by Iraqveteran8888 and never failed.
Glock is best, but I have both.
Magpul recently released a 27 round and 21 round Glock mag too. I have the 21 round and am waiting on the 27 round to become available.
I like the fact that Larry Porterfield has made several half million dollar donations to the NRA.
I have shopped at Brownell’s and Natchez too, but I am partial to MidwayUSA.
Mec-gar also makes CZ mags at a fraction of the cost of those by CZ. One of the only downsides to owning a CZ pistol is the high cost of OEM mags.
For the G21, the Korean made ones are good, the Scherer ones are junk, in my experience, per my earlier post.
Which is funny because most CZ ‘factory mags’ are made by Mec Gar in the first place.
For the most part, yup. But they do have some non-Chinese stuff and even some made in USA stuff.
You can go to Sears and buy the literal same Chinese crap for twice the price with a Craftsman label, sadly.
Yep! Sadly!
But not for much longer.
Several years ago I got scammed by an Ebay seller when I purchased about 75 Gillette Mach III Turbo razor blades. After realizing that my butter knife was sharper, turns out they were Chinese counterfeits..............
