U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Savannah Port of Entry inspected a container of manifested firearm magazines and discovered 591 cartons of pistol magazines bearing the Glock trademark.
The importation of the magazines with the Glock trademark on the packaging was found to be unauthorized and in violation of the registered trademark, said Mark Varga, CBP spokesman.

Only buy from reputable dealers like MidwayUSA.
Well, what nation did they come from?
They gave the company the chance to remove the fraudulent trademarks and would have let them on in! When they couldn’t do it in time they seized them.
WTF?
And where were they made? That’s kind of a big deal to know where fraudulent products are coming from.
“Made in China” would be my guess.
I buy all my glock hardware from harbor freight tools. doesn’t everyone? oh well...

Personally, on magazines like those in a Glock, the manufacturer original is best in many cases. I shy away from replacements like Mec-Gar and such. They may operate “just as well” but I don’t have to take that chance.
I was seeing a whole bunch of Korean glock-like mags for sale a while back. Maybe they rebranded them.
You can ship freight from multiple countries of origin on the same Bill of Lading. The Bill of Lading should have had country of origin for all items. Weapons components require a licence (Department of State or Commerce, don’t remember which.) It’s possible that the item description on the BOL was falsified so there’s no real way to prove it.
The Koreans were making some nice, reliable extended .45 Glock mags. There Scherer ones were ca-ca, the Korean ones were good.

...post of the day, I got good laugh.
CDNN often advertises Glock magaqzines as “Asian Military”. They are probably OK but I would rather have Glock.
As far as Mec-Gar goes, they are among the best and in fact make most name brand magazines for them. They just put their name on them.
Mec Gar mags are GTG and are supplied as OEM mags by many manufacturers.
Okay....you use them, then....I have no problem with that.

I think the ironic thing is that you are using them if you use the original ones which came with your gun.
I have seen the list and it covers nearly all major manufacturers. Mec_Gar makes them for them.
Yeah, you can say that, but give me the definitive list of what pistols and manufacturers for whom they produced. I don’t want myth of “I think so” or I’ve ‘seen’ it. Show me a list.
Glock? Ruger? S&W? Colt? Beretta?
Look it up yourself then come back and say you were wrong.
