Under Trump’s Executive Orders, No One is Safe. Trump Administration and Paul Ryan Must Declare that Immigrant Youth Will Not Be Deported
Washington, DC – Today, news broke that Daniel Ramirez Medina, a beneficiary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA) has been detained by agents with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) for days. Beneficiaries of the DACA program like Daniel have been promised a two year reprieve from deportation and a work permit, have paid nearly $500 in fees every two years, have passed a background check and have met a number of other requirements.
Since the inauguration of Donald Trump, Speaker Paul Ryan told DACA recipient Angelica Villalobos that she did not have to worry about being deported and President Trump himself said that those with DACA did not have to worry.
Greisa Martinez, Advocacy Director of United We Dream and herself a DACA beneficiary said:
“Daniel must be given his freedom, now. Donald Trump’s executive orders have made everyone a priority for deportation. Under Trump’s America, no one is safe. Donald Trump and Republicans must say in no uncertain terms that DACA recipients are safe.
“The detention of Daniel Ramirez is further proof that Trump’s ICE, who have recently raided and terrorized our communities, set up roadblocks demanding papers from even U.S. citizens and who have deported mothers in spite of living in the U.S. for over 20 years must be reined in.
“Mayors and local governments face a choice: will they stand by as out of control agents wreak havoc on their residents’ lives or will they create and enforce sanctuaries of safety where all those targeted by the Trump regime can live safely and thrive.”

No. DACA was not amnesty like Reagan’s. It is a temporary deferment of deportation with several conditions on it, and a temporary work permit.
Associating with CRIMINALS (which his illegal alien father is or ICE would not have gone to the house to arrest him) and being a gang member are obvious violations of the conditions of DACA.
DACA is not a Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free card.

As long as they think the Courts or the Congress or the local governments will protect them, they won’t self-deport.
Only after many more stories like this one happen and nobody successfully defies Trump will such an announcement have any effect.
I agree that the extent of Trump’s “heart” should be to not bar them permanently as long as they self-deport rather than causing us to rack up the expense of deporting them. The court process to deport is ridiculously expensive, and even if streamlined it would still be cheaper for us if they self-deport. If they cause that expense, they should forfeit ANY CHANCE of ever immigrating.

If someone stole my SSN, I wouldn’t care whether they were American or non-American, I’d want them locked up. And if they were non-citizen or non-permanent resident, then I’d want their visa revoked and their body deported.
DACA was a promise made by Barky to his illegal alien constituents. It was his personal promise, done without congressional approval, i.e. without the force of law.
In fact, Barky’s promise was in direct violation of federal law.
I think that this illegal alien needs to sue Barky for fraud.

DACA explicitly says TEMPORARY permission to stay. Time’s up, buttercup. Go back, stand in line, and get another entry visa link everyone else... and don’t forget to say “thank you” for the years that you were allowed to stay here with extra special permission.
If he paid his money and has documentation then they will have to release him. It is honorable to keep our promise. Even after Joshua was deceived in the deal he made with the Gebeonites Israel kept their oath.
If Adam Luna doesn’t like it, he can go live with his bros in Mexico or Guatemala or wherever. No one’s making him stay where he’s unhappy with us enforcing our laws.

According to Wikipedia the DACA is a policy not a law.
As such it can be changed or rescinded at any time.
Such shifts in policies normally occur when there has been a significant change in the political power structure, i.e. a change in political parties ruling Washington D.C.
In short, people covered by the DACA were NEVER given permanent status. It was established by Obama in June 2012 and is renewable, as a policy, every two years. let’s count the renewal cycles - 2012, 2014, and 2016. Somehow I don’t think it will be renewed again.
Does anyone have a site citing the 2016 renewal; or, is it case of it takes too much effort to formally renew it? IMHO the DACA is a variation of an Executive Order; and, since it is not a law just as permanent.
Just WTH is that supposed to mean? Are these illegals under some notion that Paul Ryan was elected to lead this Country of ours. Paul Ryan can't even muster the smarts to lead our feckless useless con-gress much less make decisions in our immigration Laws being enforced. He has NO SAY in this short of enacting a Law of sorts, that still requires our President to sign off on it. Good luck with your 'dreams'! My suggestion, get your affairs in order dreamers, pack your belongings, such that they are yours to begin with, and leave. Your other option may very well end up with you departing US in a bag!
Maybe you should wait and see if he really is an admitted gang member. As such, he didn’t honor DACA. Let’s wait and see before we give him a pass
‘Birthright citizenship’ is based on a judicial interpretation of the 14th Amendment, which was intended to guarantee citizenship to former slaves.
This “anchor-baby” decision needs to be challenged in court or addressed by Congress, so that only the children of legal residents are citizens at birth. The 14th Amendment was never intended to facilitate conquest by anchor baby.
