For Immediate Release
Under Trumps Executive Orders, No One is Safe. Trump Administration and Paul Ryan Must Declare that Immigrant Youth Will Not Be Deported
Washington, DC Today, news broke that Daniel Ramirez Medina, a beneficiary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA) has been detained by agents with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) for days. Beneficiaries of the DACA program like Daniel have been promised a two year reprieve from deportation and a work permit, have paid nearly $500 in fees every two years, have passed a background check and have met a number of other requirements.
Since the inauguration of Donald Trump, Speaker Paul Ryan told DACA recipient Angelica Villalobos that she did not have to worry about being deported and President Trump himself said that those with DACA did not have to worry.
Greisa Martinez, Advocacy Director of United We Dream and herself a DACA beneficiary said:
Daniel must be given his freedom, now. Donald Trumps executive orders have made everyone a priority for deportation. Under Trumps America, no one is safe. Donald Trump and Republicans must say in no uncertain terms that DACA recipients are safe.
The detention of Daniel Ramirez is further proof that Trumps ICE, who have recently raided and terrorized our communities, set up roadblocks demanding papers from even U.S. citizens and who have deported mothers in spite of living in the U.S. for over 20 years must be reined in.
Mayors and local governments face a choice: will they stand by as out of control agents wreak havoc on their residents lives or will they create and enforce sanctuaries of safety where all those targeted by the Trump regime can live safely and thrive.

“ICE Must Give DACA Recipient, Daniel Medina, His Freedom Immediately!”
Actually...... no.
If you are illegal, then you have broken the law, Simple really, even for a far left nutcase.
7 years old, not as an infant
In a manner reminiscent of Genghis Khan /channeling John Kerry, who reportedly served in Vietnam
I would like to see Trump come on TV and tell the illegal aliens (you know who you are) you MUST leave the USA or be deported and if deported you can NEVER come back thru legal channels.
I think we would see caravans headed South like the Dusters headed to California in the 30’s.
“Being apart of DACA absolves him of that crime.”
WHERE is that specified in DACA?
That was what I thought. Thank you. He must have done something.
“Daniel must be given his freedom, now.”
He’s free to live in his own country. Not this one.
The program protects from deportation 750,000 people who were brought to the United States illegally as children, sometimes called the "dreamers," and gives them the temporary right to work legally in the United States.
Maybe i should've said, temporarily absolves him of that crime. But, i still say, they shouldn't deport him as long as this DACA rule exists. Or until Trump cancels this.
Definitely dreaming.
Adam Luna, go to your safe space NOW!
I agree. Take him up in an airplane and “free him” right over Mexico. Free fall will do him good.
He is being deported because he is a gang member.
“United We Dream” is a communist front.
Bust it up.
Stuff it!
“Did he commit a crime?”
What I’m wondering as well - how did he even happen to show up on ICE’s radar?
Ah - in this post it states that he was scooped up when they were serving a warrant on his father...

DACA isn’t a law. It is a policy of the Obama administration and was an ultra vires act: it was Obama legislating, like the activist district court judges we’re seeing ignore black letter federal immigration law: title 8. DACA deserves the respect it is getting. None.
