President Trump quizzed a school principal about autism during a meeting with educators at the White House on Tuesday.
Have you seen a big increase in the autism with the children? Trump asked Jane Quenneville, the principal of a Virginia public school specializing in special education.
Quenneville responded that she has, and noted her school has shifted its population to accommodate more students with autism.
So whats going on with autism? Trump asked. When you look at the tremendous increase, its really such an incredible its really a horrible thing to watch, the tremendous amount of increase. Do you have any idea? Quenneville didnt provide an explanation, but cited statistics showing that autism affects 1 in 66 or 68 children.
Maybe we can do something, Trump said, claiming the rate is coming in even lower.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released data last March that showed 1 in 68 school-aged children are diagnosed with autism, unchanged from its previous estimate.
Trump did not say what he believes causes autism, but in the past he has linked vaccines to what he calls an epidemic of the condition. And 10 days before taking office, he met with leading vaccine skeptic Robert Kennedy Jr.
Scientists and researchers have found no evidence connecting vaccines to developmental disorders such as autism.
Studies have shown that there is no link between receiving vaccines and developing [autism], according to the CDC.
My sister just recently sent me some links about this issue (vaccines/autism) and a CDC coverup. I haven’t watched them yet. But gee, it’s not like government departments never cover things up — how about NOAA and the warming pause....How about the massive Agriculture Dept. push for 30 years to avoid saturated fats and eat polyunsaturated oils, which led to an epidemic of metabolic disease. I have personal knowledge of that through learning about Low Carb High Fat eating and how it improves health, diabetes, obesity, etc. And someone mentioned second hand smoke. And wait until they finish exposing the dangers of statins — although I guess that is more Big Pharma than government, or maybe the two hand in hand.
So maybe the CDC did cover up some connection with autism. With what is going on today, nothing will surprise me.
Autism rates are higher in areas like the Silicon Valley.
That goes against your theory.
I know quite a few engineers whose kids are autistic.
Are there any studies that contradict this that are being hidden? Has the CDC known things they are not telling?
The increase in the rate of autism is 600% in 20 years !!! There is no answer as to why? And we are to believe absolutely that there is no connection with injections into the blood stream or muscle called vaccinations? Why should I absolutely believe that?
Intersting point. Despite growing up with two meth-head parents I never did drugs. Now I’ve had six children (with one more on the way) and none of them show signs of autism although I’ve been diagnosed in the spectrum.
Maybe there’s something to your observation.
This doesn’t explain why 98% of autistic children have the 677 and 1298 MTHFR anomaly (genetic predisposition + heavy metal accumulation). The children who carry both abnormalities are unable to clear toxins like other kids can.
JohPreston, that was an interesting factoid.
When it comes to the vaccine issue, both sides seem to have their kooks to call on. I can’t trust the CDC, and some of the folks who make claims of autism connections aren’t exactly stellar either.
This has left me without a conclusive opinion on this.
I do think childhood vaccines are important. I had an uncle that developed polio early in his life. I know how much different his life would have been had he had access to a vaccine.
We have been so free of childhood diseases, that we forget the ravaging effects of some of them.
On the other hand, autism is terrible too.
It’s a mess.
I have the advantage over most researchers in that I feel consciousness as a physical object while it is intangible to most researchers.
The thalamus in the brain shuts down in order to protect an individual from negative emotional input. Often a person with autism will turn their head to the left when they are looking at you in order to restrict optic nerve input to the left hemisphere of the brain. If they are looking straight on the emotional stimulation causes the input to be overwhelmed and it shuts down.
I agree with your take on things. At least I see some of my own thoughts and concerns in there.
Here’s what I wrote to another person.

It really is a mess and when it hits one’s family it becomes ground zero. My grandson, at 14 mos, had more than 22 vaccines before he switched off. I only wish I had known then what I know now.
Trust the CDC ... with that clown who brought Ebola, Zika and now a totally worthless Flu vaccine .... the director should have been stripped of his license and tar and feathered for his incompetence already.
Studies have shown that there is no link between receiving vaccines and developing [autism], according to the CDC.
And one of their CDC honchos admitted they cooked the results of their studies.
In the 70s, there was about a 1 in 60,000 chance of a child being autistic.

That sound like too many vaccines in a shot period of time.
I wonder what current recommendations are.
It seems to me that they could spread those out over the first four years or so, but the way kids are tossed into group environments at very young ages, it almost forces inoculation early on.
I do not support kids being institutionalized early on.
If you want kids, sacrifice a little bit for their protection.
In my first marriage, we opted for my wife to say home until the children were school age. We started them in the first grade.
Today everyone wants to work, and our kids are being forced into group settings too early. > IMO
We’re seeing the problems with that.
“It looks like a damned matriarchy.”
And even here one is excoriated for arguing that “equal opportunity” for women is cultural suicide.
Oh, sure, “leftists in charge of everything” is a big part of why things are so messed up. But intertwined with that and at least equally significant is “women in charge of everything.”
“Autism rates are higher in areas like the Silicon Valley. That goes against your theory.”
How does that follow? Not only do those people use drugs as much as any californiac, given their higher income they probably use more than most.
I’d certainly argue that equal opportunity isn’t cultural suicide—what are you talking about?
I am not in favor of quotas or identity preferences of any type. Are you suggesting that preferences should be instituted for men?
I’m sure the media will find a way to turn this against Trump.
This is a “dog whistle” for lefties. They can’t come out and say it anymore after getting slammed for it earlier but they want you to believe that Baron Trump is autistic. In their view that would somehow reflect poorly on Trump and their low enough to try to use a kid to score points. But they can’t say it but they post articles that pose the question “hmmm, wonder why he’s so interested in autism?”
“This doesnt explain why 98% of autistic children have the 677 and 1298 MTHFR anomaly (genetic predisposition + heavy metal accumulation). The children who carry both abnormalities are unable to clear toxins like other kids can.”
This becomes a chicken or egg question. Actually the attributes of autism causes severe emotional stress that utilizes the cytochrome P450 group of enzymes responsible for detoxing the body. The decrease in available detox enzymes creates a build up of many toxins.
Stress also causes the blood brain barrier to become super permeable, thus the reason many people’s allergies act up when they are under stress.
I take a different approach than most as 40% of the population have the 677 and 1298 MTHFR anomaly. My focus is not on what recipe you have (DNA pattern), but why did you choose to make that protein by select that particular recipe on that day. Why did the RNA choose that DNA at that particular time for transcription? I look at the epi-genetic impact upon the process.
I have found the greatest consciousness impact upon development is when the embryo is in the stem cell process development and differentiation. Weeks 9 to 13 are critical in consciousness pattern formation and development.
And while autism rates increase, retardation rates decrease by the same amount. It’s a reclassification issue.
