Happy Birthday Mr. President. Ronald Reagan was born 106 years ago today in Tampico, IL.
June 5, 2004 was only the 2nd time in my adult life that I broke down in tears and sobs.
A little humor with Reagan re Tampico and his college, Eureka.

I was undergoing my fourth round of fertility treatments that day and swore I would name any girl child I had Reagan.
I was at work that day, and a group of people had gathered in the lobby to watch the only TV allowed in the building. These were active-duty and retired military men and women, and nearly all of them, including me, were crying quietly as we watched the funeral. I still miss Ronaldus Magnus.
Happy Birthday, President Reagan!
I went to pay my respects when Reagan lay in state at the Reagan library.
He served us very well. I had a lot of respect for the man.
He loved this nation. Of that I am sure.
We finally have another man that does, and I will do what Reagan would have done, support him every chance I get.
I know what you mean.
I was OK until the hearse and other vehicles were going up the hill to his ranch. Ordinary people had parked their cars on either side of the road and had gotten out of their cars. You could see the ocean in the background.
People started waving goodbye to him. Like they were giving a send off to a friend.
I still tear up, thinking of that.
He was our friend. And President. The last American President until Trump.
Every time I drive past the Reagan Boyhood Home in Dixon IL I remember with awe what incredible things were done by the man who was once a boy growing up in small-town America who lived in that house. Reagan was, in every way, the embodiment of The American Dream.

I’ve never seen anything like the people stopping their cars on the freeway for miles and getting out to walk to the center and wave as Reagan went by.
Yes folks, the same California you wish to jettison, along with Reagan’s grave.
That causes me to tear up.
With thoughts like that in mind, I never look at a child without thinking what amazing things they may someday do for mankind.
For me it goes all they way back to conception.
Ronald Reagan got that solid mid-west upbringing that served him and us so well.
You could still see that innocent kid inside the man that was so wise
Thank you for your thoughts. I can certainly identify with the, even though I’ve not been there.
I grew up in the heartland.
God blessed America by giving us Ronald Reagan.
I have this on a Tee Shirt. I never fail to get numerous positive comments every time I wear it.
I got to see Ronald Reagan give a speech at the Eisenhower Museum and Library in Abilene, KS, in 1990, as I recall. I believe it was late May. That was a thrill.
