The Trump administration told the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to take down its global warming webpage, an anonymous EPA staffer said.
“If the website goes dark, years of work we have done on climate change will disappear,” the staffer told Reuters Tuesday. The staffer was not authorized to speak to the media and claimed EPA employees were scrambling to save data on the website.
The EPA’s global warming webpage is currently still up as of Wednesday morning. The page contains some links to EPA’s data on carbon dioxide (CO2) as well as other greenhouse gas emissions and lists the effects the agency says global warming will have. The site doesn’t host much of the data, however, and only aggregates links to it.
EPA was ordered Tuesday to stop handing out grants for projects and research on global warming, air quality monitoring and education, and the agency instructed employees not to discuss the spending freeze outside the agency, according to anonymous leaks to multiple media outlets.

He did; they’re defying him. They’ve been uppity and worshiped too long and don’t care that there’s a new sheriff in town. If they don’t behave there could be an America with NO EPA any more.

I did not vote for Trump in the primaries, but I did in the general. This kind of action makes me wish I had pulled for him in the primary.

I’ve supported Trump since he came out with the wall. So far he’s exceed my admittedly low expectations by 1000X.

Where does EPA get their authority to hand out research grants? I thought Congress was in charge of that spending.
The agencies are running amok, doing whatever they want without authority, because nobody before Trump did anything to stop them.

Heads are already going to roll at EPA. The current EPA Director and management can be defiant because they know they are all soon going to be fired. They have nothing to lose.
Trump needs to send the Some FBI agents into EPA to enforce his order and secure/remove the server if necessary.
Well, we moved from elevation of about 20’ to 5,100’ to avoid the rising oceans. LOL! Think we’re safe now.
EPA should be an advisory body only, with no enforcement, fine, lawsuit, or regulatory power.
EPA to Congress: We would like to list the Spotted Owl on the Endangered List.
Congress: Present all of your evidence and be sure it has been PEER reviewed by biologists from an independent non-governmental agency.
EPA: cant you just trust us?
Congress: No. Until you deliver incontrovertible evidence, owl hunting season just opened.
Just in case, you will have plenty of notice to build that ark.
