Trump Orders EPA To Take Down Global Warming Web-Page

The Trump administration told the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to take down its global warming webpage, an anonymous EPA staffer said.

“If the website goes dark, years of work we have done on climate change will disappear,” the staffer told Reuters Tuesday. The staffer was not authorized to speak to the media and claimed EPA employees were scrambling to save data on the website.

The EPA’s global warming webpage is currently still up as of Wednesday morning. The page contains some links to EPA’s data on carbon dioxide (CO2) as well as other greenhouse gas emissions and lists the effects the agency says global warming will have. The site doesn’t host much of the data, however, and only aggregates links to it.

EPA was ordered Tuesday to stop handing out grants for projects and research on global warming, air quality monitoring and education, and the agency instructed employees not to discuss the spending freeze outside the agency, according to anonymous leaks to multiple media outlets.

No, it’s not a complete nothing. It serves a very specific purpose of fake news so that all the lefties can get all riled up for even more protests, violence, and of course fundraising.

So glad he noticed.

Remember, CO2 is only .045% of the air we breathe. But, the plants and trees need it to survive.

Liars.

I could make the page disappear changing one letter in the URL.

Although it would be more fun to wipe all the code and replace it with a Pepe meme

The EPA can’t answer, but I can (see post 79):

1.Temp - should be warmer but always fluctuating.

2.humidity - should be more humid but always fluctuating

3.sea level- no such thing as “normal”, eg. a higher sea level could be consumed by continental uplift and aquafiers.

4. precipitation - no such thing as “normal”. Depends on the existence of convection and where there is land vs water, which is always changing.

5. atmosphere - the only thing you can say about our atmosphere is that, over time, there will be less hydrogen and helium, though some may be released by chemical reactions on the “ground”.

6. ice - none. Ice ages are the exception not the norm. We are in an ice age today.

7. explain - people have nothing to do with it.

Now the EPA needs an addition to their website. In place of the global warming garbage that has been removed, they need a page that documents in real time, how much CO2, methane, and hot air is emitted inside their offices.

Not to worry - the data don't go away forever irrecoverably until the operator turns the monitor off.

In industry you pay people to be productive. In government you pay them to be stupid.

The easy way to go here is to just lock up their “checkbook.” There should be absolutely NO ABILITY for the EPA to spend a dime without Presidential approval.

Yes, the date it will still be there but all the propaganda effectiveness will be greatly minimize because it will no longer be accessible and interactive. He’s probably talking about saving the code and the supporting files & datbases of the site and its interactive tools the they can re-create most of at some NGO website.

The raw data on temperature, the unadjusted data, is valuable for science and I’m sure other departments like NOAA, NASA, etc. will retain data that is valuable.

Watch the leftists scream and cry when all the climate change/anthropogenic global warming/chicken little grant money dries up.

Great day.

In other words start up the shredders (metaphorically speaking) before someone can examine all of the underlying horse hockey.

It was created by executive order...it could be ended the same way.

The EPA was proposed by President Richard Nixon and began operation on December 2, 1970, after Nixon signed an executive order. The order establishing the EPA was ratified by committee hearings in the House and Senate.

Absolutely. Trump should issue an executive order disbanding the EPA as founded and recreate a new department with a new name and only rehire may 10% of best EPA scientists and engineers while leaving all the bureaucrats on the street hustling for work I the private sector. Most of the hires should be from outside the Acela Corridor and the overall size of the department should be under a couple thousand people.

The work isn't going to disappear unless they archive it on Hillary's server.

Good riddance ! I know a lot if liberals who are claiming this is a communist type attack on free speech, and also likens to the church of the dark ages suppressing science.. However, I worked in a science R&D lab for several decades, researchers are never allowed publish or talk to the media without the Consent of management. Likewise climate change is just a theory, science is never settled , it has to be open to debate or its not science but a religion, just the opposite to their accusations. Liberals are wrong on all counts!
