My take is that CNN has about 18 months of current ownership to go, and their brand sinks low enough that some Chinese billionaire buys them by summer of 2018. Maybe less than $400 million. Bulk of international operation will move out to China....that’s my prediction.

I'm glad a family member of LL Bean's owners wants to Make America Great Again. They've brought back some manufacturing (ex: boots) to the US. But for too much of their offerings, it's outsourced, yet they charge enough profit to bring manufacturing back. It's seems as if they do a tap dance to bring back just enough manufacturing back to the US to keep most customers loyal.

So yeah, support LL Bean. But demand they bring manufacturing back to the US.

Quality is excellent. I recently dumped some LLB flannel shirts off at thrift store. There was nothing wrong with them at all...but after 15 years of wearing them, I was tired of the colors and wanted new ones! Their stuff just doesn't wear out!

Lands End did a stupid thing this year and pushed Hillary, plus little if any of LE stuff is USA made...I wrote them, told them I didn’t want their catalog, quit buying from them and went to LL Bean for major Christmas shopping.
