For months, we listened as the polls, the media, and the general public opinion all vocally favored Hillary Clinton to win this years presidential election. The transition was already starting to happen, and even the most confident Trump supporters couldnt help but start preparing for a loss. Yet, Trump ended up with 306 pledged electoral college votes to Clintons 232. It wasnt the biggest landslide in election history, but it was an unprecedented margin of victory for a candidate that was almost written off.
But was this a fluke? Was it the strange alignment of random variables that allowed this to happen, or was Donald Trump destined to win from the beginning?
The What-If Scenarios
Since being confronted with the elections surprising results, liberals and media figures have been scrambling to pinpoint a root cause for the upset, as if it was some single trigger that caused a reversal of momentum. These people have been playing out various what-if scenarios to uncover what, if anything, could have gone differently.
For example, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid recently suggested that the FBI Director James Comeys actions during the election were responsible for both the presidential and congressional election outcomes. Comey ignored intelligence of Russian interference, and arguably mishandled the investigation of the Clinton email scandal. Had he not taken these actions, Clinton would have had a stronger lead.

God called and used some unusual and damaged people throughout Scripture to do His work on earth. The first that comes to mind is David. But there are others. And look at those Jesus, God in Christ, called to follow him and change the world forever.
His rallies: 15,000 people
Her Rallies: 300 people.
It was obvious to anyone with a brain.
The ONLY thing that worried me was all the voter fraud. And I believe it was massive. Fraud is the only reason Odumbass got re-elected. The 120% turnout in some districts is proof of that.
I honstly believe HilLIARy had all her people do all the voter fraud they could, but Trumps numbers were just overwhelming. It was probably closer to a 2 to 1 blowout before they accidentally lost as many Trump voters as they could and generated as many HilLIARy votes as they could.
Was reading about the Truman campaign in 1948. Very similar. Truman ignored the polls and went right to the people giving speech after speech. Like Trump, Harry worked his ass off while the other side took victory for granted.
Correct. I was a volunteer and came to the same conclusion!
Sadly, I think it's more than half.
Every National poll was taken the exact same way, out of 1000 likely voters, they were polled "proportionally to the size of the electorate" which meant that California got 11% or 110 voters out of the total and that automatically accounted for the 2% klintoon favor.
Every time I read these polls, I knew that the pundits, including Bret Baier from FAUX news, had no clue that they were tricking themselves.
These assholes actually believed the polls and didn't realize that they were skewing their own results.
The fact that they wanted that outcome caused them to not look deeper into the numbers.
They thought that they were tricking us, but in reality, they were only tricking themselves and the left loonies.
Voter fraud worried me too, because that is the only way the left can win.
...what you said...!
On the ninth day of Trumpmas The Donald sent to me:
Record DOW’s a dancing
Eight polls a missing it
Seven frackers fracking
Six snowflakes a crying
Five TONS-OF-BLING
More wailing nerds
Three whining dems
Two washed up thugs
and an historic electoral victory
..insert Franklin Graham’s comments...
You are not alone in that belief.
I repeatedly heard that he would have 20,000 inside the stadium and another 10,000 outside wanting to get in. While she was lucky to have 200 and her VP would only have 20 and they were reporters.
But somehow this was never talked about in the lib media, so her supporters didn't seem to realize it.
BUMP!
To me, it boils down to one or two reasons. 1. He listened to the people that were unheard by the elected elite (which is most of the elected). 2.People were tired of the government, all the government and the things the government did that the people had no say over.
Trump is probably the last chance we have to return the government, at least in part, to the people. Margaret Thatcher did the same for Britain, but only held back socialism and the EU for a short period. If Trump can clean out State (which no one had been able to do) then we have a chance. My opinion only.
I'm in PA and I had two signals that Trump was going to take PA. Not 100% confident, I admit, but a gut feel.
One was when I went to the Trump rally in Hershey, PA in late October (at the urging of my 16 year old son, who really wanted to go). Driving out there from eastern PA, all I saw in the area were Trump signs in yards, everywhere - and I mean everywhere. And not a Clinton sign in sight. And the place held 12,000 and it was full, and there were still thousands outside on a cold night who didn't get in.
But the real sign to me was when I heard Clinton was holding an election eve rally in Philly. I live in the Philly suburbs and Philly is about as close as you can get to a Democrat mortal lock. I thought it was very odd that she would have to go to Philly on election eve - why not a "close" state, or area where she needed to pick up votes. When I heard she was coming to Philly, I remarked to a coworker "she doesn't have PA locked up", and she didn't have PA, she didn't have the other battleground states.
Trump’s last rally was about 1 AM on Tues, Nov 8—I think in Michigan.
It was scheduled for midnight, and was the 7th rally of his day. People were in line early in the day in winter weather & he was an hour late. IIRC, there were over 17,000 people inside the venue & over 10,000 OUTSIDE the venue.
A Shrillary rally never came close to those numbers.
Kaine held a rally in Appleton, Wisconsin the same 3 day period & in a town of over 70,000 only 50 or so people were in the room-—and half of those were campaign STAFF.
Biden didn’t do any better in Wisconsin for Shrillary.
THANKS FOR YOUR EFFORT!!!
I think it’s divine justice that the skewed polis ended deluding the Clintons into screwing up her campaign strategy. Neglecting the Blue wall etc. To an extent l fell for it too but when l saw Trump spent some of his last precious time in Mi I thought “hmm.. This is odd, Mich must be in play, that’s not supposed to be”. I have no doubt the Rats cheated, a lot, but with the polls saying what they did it caused them to cheat less then they needed to.
The signs were there, as were the several polls (with good track records in 2012) that indicated Trump was leading.
The problem was the majority of the polls (and 100% of the media) were saying otherwise.
Given the polls in 2012, we knew someone was gonna “screw the pooch” but with so much data and so many ways to interpret it, we could not be sure who it was gonna be.
Still, I was more optimistic than I had been in 2012 on election night. I told my wife the exact same thing that Trump said recently in his Victory Rallies: “You know, even if he loses, I won’t feel bad about it, because the man fought like a LION, gave it his all, never quit, and gave back as good as he got. You can’t ask fo more.”
Looking back at all of the conflicting data, I also remember thinking that there was definitely a “disturbance in the force”.
And so there was. (STILL GRINNING AT ALL OF THE WINNING!!!!!)
