Officials in the Obama administration threw cold water on the effort to recount votes in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania on Friday.
The effort was spearheaded by Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who echoed arguments that Russia may have hacked US voting machines to interfere with the outcome of the November 8 election.
A statement from the Obama administration cited by The New York Times acknowledged that the Kremlin likely expected the hacking of some Democratic Party entities in the run-up to Election Day to raise questions about the voting process and the legitimacy of President-elect Donald Trump's victory.
"Nevertheless, we stand behind our election results, which accurately reflect the will of the American people," the statement read.
Speculation that electronic voting machines could be hacked has largely been debunked, primarily because the machines are not connected to the internet.
Stein contended that this was a "hack-riddled election," that warrants a second look at the votes. Trump won by thin margins in the three states Stein aims to contest.
The Green Party sought to raise $7 million to fund the recount. Fundraising surpassed the $5 million mark on Friday. For her part, Stein only received one percent of the vote nationally.
Election officials in Wisconsin accepted a recount petition on Friday and announced that the effort was underway....

3. The democrats made such a HUGH deal of asking if Trump would accept a close election that they boxed themselves in. They can’t challenge the results without making themselves look as bad as they think Trump is. By demanding Trump take the high road they’ve been forced to take it themselves.
4. Trump met with Obama. Maybe part of the conversation was Obama skates if PIAPS hangs.
Probably to make it appear that they are not behind this recount.

In Raleigh I was assigned a ballot with a number and when it was put in the machine it listed a number going thru the machine. Seems to me since my ballot was number 8 going thru the machine it could conceivably be traced to me.
Careful what you say. I read the same complaints about hacking these machines on this very website and twitter less than a month ago, four years ago and eight years ago. It is a standard response when one feels their candidate is threatened.
Their votes do not count.
They are here illegally, and in addition to already breaking our Federal and State laws by coming here illegally, they’re committing ANOTHER Felony by fraudulently voting.
Obama is worried that a real investigation WILL find “vote irregularities” — in favor of the Dems. I think what really happened was that the Dems went all out on their vote fraud efforts, but it wasn’t enough.

Can you imagine what would happen if more votes were found in Clinton’s favor (questionably of course) to throw it in her favor? Talk about a Constitutional crisis......this would blow it out of the water. Soros needs to be taken down.....spirited away and left on Putin’s doorstep. I’ve heard they want him for crimes so let’s help them out........;)
While this may seem like a “noble gesture” from the White House, I suspect that a detailed recount would expose the widespread election fraud that was perpetrated by and for DEMOCRATS! LOL!

And why she doesn't want a recount of New Hampshire, where Hillary won by less than 3,000 votes.
An honest media would point out these inconsistencies.

More likely, they are scared the recount will find massive vote fraud by Democrats in Philadelphia, Madison, and Detroit.

My only question is: Could even MORE qualifiers have been stuffed into that content-free sentence to make it even MORE content-free?
California voting is the true motherload - motor voting allowing millions of illegals into the system.
No, Stein's website is already saying the money will be used for other things if the don't use it for a recount.
This should be a dead giveaway that the whole thing is a scam to raise money.
